First, let me just say that this one would've been much shorter and had a much different conclusion if I were Sam. I would've leaned more toward running over this cowboy with his own dang truck after the first meeting they had, which wouldn't have gone well for getting romantic. Ha! But I'm not Sam, and obviously, there's a very good reason I'm on this side of the book, and Melanie Moreland is on the other. She definitely knows her stuff when it comes to romance and never fails to wow me with her words.

First, let me just say that this one would've been much shorter and had a much different conclusion if I were Sam. But I'm not Sam, and obviously, there's a very good reason I'm on this side of the book, and Melanie Moreland is on the other. She definitely knows her stuff when it comes to romance and never fails to wow me with her words.
I do love me some cowboy, and it didn't take much more than a hot minute for me to fall in love with the grumpy Luke Adler, and every time Sam peeled back another layer, I fell a little more. Luke needed Sam's brand of happy in the worst way, and it's all too easy to root for these two. She's also from Moreland's Vested Interest generation, and I enjoyed the little sneaks at some favorite characters from past books.
So, if you're looking for some swoon and some Kindle-melting heat, Sunshine & Sammy is a good bet. Luke says some of the swooniest things even when he does want to be all grumpy and contrary, and he and Sam have terrific chemistry. We do get some angst, but the author tempers those feels with her often hilarious wit and some equally hilarious situations.

“You turned my world upside down, yet somehow righted it at the same time. You stole my heart, Sammy.”
I love,love this book. It has a kick butt heroine and a book boyfriend hero.The chemistry between Luke and Sammy is jumping off the pages. Their banter was on par. They were able to find in each other what they didn’t even know what they were looking for. I love that family is always at the front and centre and was able to get a glimpse of Sammy's family. I loved the mention of the bookcase from her childhood. I love every book in this series and can’t wait to see what comes ...

Right from their first meeting when Luke abandons Sammy at the airport sparks fly all around whenever these two spar.

Sunshine and Sammy was a sweet story with loads of heat. It made me laugh, smile and swoon-sometimes with a fan.
Luke is the ultimate cinnamon roll hero. His grumpy demeanor slowly melted away under the sunshine smile of Sammy. He was a tough one to crack but when he did he was swoon-worthy. Sammy was every bit of the personalities of her parents, Van and Liv (Characters from the must read, Vested series by Melanie Moreland). Strong, sweet and sassy.
I definitely would recommend this book.

Grupmy/sunshine is one of my favourite tropes, throw in he’s a Cowboy and I’m a very happy lady! Sammy comes to the ranch to help Luke’s sister with a new business venture that will hopefully secure the future of the ranch. Luke is not very happy with the idea and is initially very unhelpful & grumpy. Sammy seems to bring the sunshine wherever she goes. She can talk to anyone and everyone loves her. I could have shaken Luke a few times, but he eventually comes to his senses and we get the happily ever after we are looking for. I admit I haven’t read the other books in this series but it didn’t take anything away from the story and I loved the inclusion of Sammy’s extended family. This book was hot, sweet and made me smile.
