His Power Rules the City—But She Rules His Heart.

Finn O'Reilly
Finn O'Reilly Stern, powerful, confident. Oversees his hotel and his syndicate with a commanding presence and leadership, knowing any weakness could be used against him.
And he has none. Except Una Murphy. The woman he lost his heart to and still loves, even though she wants nothing to do with him.
Or so she claims.
When her life is in peril, he won't stop until she is safe and back where she belongs—with him.
Can he rescue her?
Convince her to stay?
Will she be a part of his world, regardless of the danger, knowing she is safer with him than apart?
She is his world.

Finn O’Reilly is the absolute swooniest and that is definitely saying something since this author seems to specialize in swoony heroes.
Finn is the ultimate protective, alpha hero. Adoring Una even when she pushes him away.

“I want your love, your laughter, your body. I want your world to begin and end with me.”

I both read the ebook and listened to the audiobook of this one and loved both BUT the narration was so amazing that if (who am I kidding… when) I go back for a reread it’s 100 percent going to be on audio!!

And I never wanted to leave it.”

𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐧 is the first book in the Irishmen Duet by Melanie Moreland, featuring a spicy and emotional boss/employee, second chance, romance for Finn and Una. Their chemistry was undeniable, but her fear of his job as the Head of the Syndicate was a major obstacle. Finn was an ultimate morally grey hero, ready and willing to burn down the world and anyone in it, if it meant protecting the woman he loves! I love that dark edge of action, the scorching “Touch Her and ☠️” vibes, the angsty tension, the drama, the plot twists, and the surprising emotional moments that had me in my f...

Their chemistry was undeniable, but her fear of his job as the Head of the Syndicate was a major obstacle. Finn was an ultimate morally grey hero, ready and willing to burn down the world and anyone in it, if it meant protecting the woman he loves! I love that dark edge of action, the scorching “Touch Her and ☠️” vibes, the angsty tension, the drama, the plot twists, and the surprising emotional moments that had me in my feelings! Una was an amazing character in her own right, with a core of steel, even if she doesn’t realize it. She had such a loving, compassionate heart, even at her own expense. She so deserved someone on her side, willing to put her first, no matter what. I loved the family theme, the bond between Finn and Niall and others in their family, as well as some familiar faces that made me positively giddy! When indulging in the mafia-esque realm, I love the fact that even in the underworld, love can win! Niall was so compelling to watch that I cannot wait to get my hands on his story!

When Melanie Moreland teased us after Men of the Falls "there would be more." Who knew one line would inspire these delicious alpha men.

Obsessed. Protective. Scorch the ends of the Earth for the one he holds in his heart. This isn't just all that Finn O'Reilly is. But those are the swoony parts I loved. He values loyalty, and family. Those traits run through the themes of the story strongly.

Steadfast. Caring. Holding others above her own needs. Una is a heroine who holds those she loves above her own needs. Offering forgiveness when she should look after herself. I think...

Steadfast. Caring. Holding others above her own needs. Una is a heroine who holds those she loves above her own needs. Offering forgiveness when she should look after herself. I think she is a mirror to many of us who want to believe those we love should be safe and whole.

The story is second chance–which is one of my favorites! The obstacle they have to overcome is a tough one. Its a lesson in compromise and belief.

Besides the love story that is so romantic, there is danger afoot. Melanie weaves the suspense and thrills with a deft hand to keep you turning the pages but makes mafia romance accessible for all.

(Audio review) Holy Hawt Accent John Lane! I was prepared but I was NOT prepared for how good he sounded. Lots of rewinds LOL. Maxine Mitchell once again brought her A game, and was performance perfection. This story is one to read AND listen!

His father was a low-level crime lord, his mom was a twin, and she was very close to her sister Roisin, who also has a son, Niall Black. Finn and Niall are only a few weeks apart in age and are more like brothers than cousins. Finn relocated to Canada, where he owns and operates his hotels and syndicate with a commanding presence; he respects the people he is responsible for and ensures their safety, and Niall is his right-hand man. Finn has a soft spot for Una Murphy with her long, wavy red hair, stunning emerald eyes, and the voice of an angel; her father took a bullet meant for Finn. Una understood the world her father lived in and swore that she would never get involved with that lifestyle. Still, Una's older brother, Brian, thought his father's loyalty and service gave him the easy way into the syndicate. Brian soon discovers that laziness and depending on your younger sister don't get you that far.

"As amhran mo chroi" translates to "as a song of my heart."

Melanie Moreland's storytelling captures the 'beauty' of morally grey living, a theme that is central to the story. This theme is explored similarly to those in the Men of Hidden Justice series and the duet with Roman and Aldo. If you're into commanding men, this one might be for you!
