My new book, "Florida Grand Theft & Other Tales: Crime and Sci-fi Short Stories," will be released (published) on Oct. 4, 2021. It's is a collection of sixteen crime and science fiction short stories.

Some of the tales are strictly fictional crime stories. Others are solely in the science fiction genre. Many other yarns combine both crime and sci-fi genres. It's available for pre-order now (paperback and e-book) at Barnes & Noble. Also, Amazon has the e-book available for pre-order.

I've finished a volume of short stories called "Florida Grand Theft & Other Tales," slated for release this summer sometime. I plan to distribute the print volume through IngramSpark and release e-books on Amazon and through Smashwords. On May 6, 2021 I released my mystery-thriller, "Death in the Holler: Bookshop Version" via IngramSpark. This version includes a page or two of questions for book discussion groups. In addition, it is aimed directly at independent bookstores because I offer a 55% discount, and the book is "returnable."

Hi, I'm John, and I write crime/mystery as well as sci-fi books and stories. I served as an Army journalist during the Vietnam War, though I spend service entirely in the US. After that I covered crime in Washington, DC. as a cameraman/reporter for the ABC TV affiliate. I later played records and engineered radio programs on the ABC network station in DC. After that I joined NASA to make TV shows, run an imaging department and later write news releases and articles. So, my background steered me towards writing sci-fi and crime mystery fiction after I retired. I write for fun. I'm also an avid golfer. I like meeting new people when I play golf or do anything. I like to listen to their stories and try to figure out what makes them tick. Cheers!
