I've always deeply loved "The Snow Queen," because I loved this little girl on a near-impossible quest to save her best friend. Her dedication, loyalty, and love deeply resonate with me. It's crucial to read the unabridged version, which includes all the flower stories, which are mainly irrelevant to the plot but mesmerizing to read.
I also love "The Robber Bridegroom," despite it being more of a horror fairy tale, because I love the woman getting the best of her abusive, frightening fiancé (and his psychopath friends) in the end!

Hey friends! I'm getting back to my writing career after a 10-year hiatus, so it's a little intimidating! I love this site, though. I just finished a romance manuscript (proving I can still write a whole book!) and I'm plotting/outlining my new book now, a fairy tale retelling.
