Synopsis
From Book 1:
"Just like the moon called the tides, she had called me home. To her."
Serious, by-the-book Eli Wyatt has life all figured out. He's got a five-year plan, his future in the Coast Guard, and friends who always have his back.
And then Ava Abrams breezes into his life, tempting him in ways he can't shake.
A free spirit, Ava's on the run, heading in the direction of her dreams. She's set her heart on Juilliard and country music stardom, not a happily ever after with a man she's just met. Still, there's something about gorgeous and enigmatic Eli that tugs at her soul.
Just as they start to fall, they're forced into a goodbye that leaves only the memories of a fairytale summer.
Four years later, Eli stumbles into a bar with Ava on stage. And once again, she's like a siren calling to him.
Will he make the same mistake and let her slip away? Or will he build a new dream with her at its center?
From award-winning author, LJ Evans, comes a story of dreams lost and remade inspired by Luke Bryan's “Sunrise, Sunburn Sunset.” If you like vibrant characters and poetic prose, you won't want to miss this slow burn, summer beach read.

His family was to consumed with his sister and her health to have time for him and the things he wanted, so he got lost in music.
He is known for his flings and not being a relationship kind of a guy.
Cari, has dealt with a lot of loss in her life. She lost her husband and now her grandmother.
Her 4 and a half year old daughter is extremity talented. She was fortunate to be taught by her great grandma Elana, too play the piano and is in love with Stevie Nick's and Abba.
Now that her great grandmother has passed away, she is obsessed with healthy eating due to the fact she had had a heart attack sometime before.
Even though Brady spent a lot of time with Elana, some how his path never crossed with Cari and her daughter.
There is an undeniable attraction between them, but they are both dealing with different things that make it hard for them to commit to each other.
He is falling hard for this ready made family with a little girl who has stolen his heart.
She is devoted to her dead husband and he knows that he can't commit to a relationship where he would be coming and going all the time, not to mention that there is a little girl who they need to consider.
This is a beautiful song and dance between two people who have an empty hole in their heart that they are discovering that could actually be filled by each other.
I really felt the connection between this little family unit that had me rooting for them all the way.
