I was so angry then, mad at them all; I wished I could run them all over with the car. Screaming down the street, I was barely keeping the car on the road. The jerks in the back seat and the one beside me were yelling along with whatever or whoever was making the noise playing full blast through the speakers. Tic sat beside me, slapping something with the hand that wasn’t holding a bottle, in time to the music.

I didn’t much care what they were doing. I just wanted to break something. It was at that exact moment when it felt like a huge hand slapped the car, and everything skidded sideways. Like a bullet; the car, the jerks and I, all went through the window of the local drugstore.

The entire world made a horrible noise, and my head throbbed like I’d never felt before. The car heaved a strangled sound and steam filled the air. Noise came from everywhere. I don’t remember screaming, but the dummies along with me in mom’s car were… except for Tic. He silently held his hand where the beer bottle had cut into it, staring at the blood as it dripped down onto the leather upholstery. I should have just up and died right that second, ‘cause she was gonna destroy me.
