^{Dirty little things, and yet they still run and hide, desperate to escape the one request they’ve asked for. I look to the left, staring along the dark alley as the wind howls, and then start running again. She’s fast. Quick feet guiding her around this unknown town. The thought makes me ease out into the open, wondering what she thinks of the man she’s chosen for her night of delights. She should be questioning that now: Who am I? What do I look like? How far will I go?}

^{I’ll go all the way.}

^{This is the only thing I do. The other harsh men on the books like me aren’t interested in the chase. They want a woman who comes to heel immediately – does as they’re told. I don’t. I like them screaming and fighting me, begging. Real fear. Real terror. I guess that’s why T came and found me that night, offering me a near legal form of my idea of craving.}

^{The image of her coming into the bar all those years ago flits through my mind, as I jog heavily along the alley, my eyes peering around dirty recesses. That woman needs fucking. Bitterly. Arrogant little bitch. She stood there in that tired old bar, sneering at the layabouts and drunken bums, and then approached me with a card as I downed the first shot of decent tequila I’d had in eight years. Indecency Suites. It wasn’t until she started speaking, her high end voice chanting dirty words at me, that I got the idea of what she wanted from an ex con. There was only one stipulation – behave. I don’t like behaving much. Never have.}

^{I pick up the pace and head around the side of the stadium, filtering into back streets and heading for the parkland stretched out in front of me. Little Blue had a fifteen minute start from the meet point. I watched her come into view from my vantage point and wait for a minute, turning her sweet ass around in a circle, and then looked on as she set off into the town. T makes them do that. It’s my show of who they are. Guess she thinks I might end up taking the wrong woman.}

^{Dark hair piled under a green beanie. Tight blue jeans showing all the curves off. And a cropped black hoodie giving me flashes of her stomach, as she started running. Bitch smirked into the air as she twirled her ass around. Smirked as if this was a game. It might be for her. It isn’t for me. She’ll understand that when I find her and she gets a feel of me on her for the first time. It won’t be pretty. Or fucking lenient like some of the others are. She wants a fantasy from me, she’ll get it delivered with more intent than she probably thought she was gonna get. I’m not a good guy playing games. I’m an asshole. An asshole with scars on my face to prove where I’ve come from and gangland tattoos that show the streets I learnt my trade on. This might be a new country, and the job might have some legal backing, but I’m still the same man I was.}
