We are getting closer to Mae and Hank’s wedding but there is a murder to solve first! Mae is on assignment for the National Parks Committee, checking out one of the two new businesses about to open in the park. She is supposed to be gazing at the stars while another team member is examining the zipline. She looks through the telescope and moves it to see what is happening on the zipline since that was her first choice for the assignment. However, she does not see people zipping along but rather a body hanging on the line. Once the investigation begins, there are so many questions as to how someone was murdered while on a zipline. Was it a UFO that came out of the sky, as was suggested? The Laundry Club Ladies are on the case.
This time, the Laundry Club Ladies have competition from the Smelly Dog Sleuthers, Dottie has an unexpected admirer in a reality star, Ellis has not quite adjusted to living in a campground, and bridesmaids’ dresses catch on fire. Hank’s sister Ellis has more of a role in this book and while she is extremely annoying, it is interesting to see her character develop. What will she be like once Hank and Mae’s wedding rolls around?
This installment of the Camper & Criminals Cozy Mystery Series is an enjoyable read with many twists and turns. The creative murder will keep the reader guessing until the end.

This is the latest book in the Holiday Cozy Mystery Series. I adore the town of Holiday Junction and the passion that is instilled into every holiday! I would love to live in this town where a trolley and golf carts are the main modes of transportation.
Violet Rhinehammer was the local reporter in Normal, Kentucky, the location of the Camper and Criminals Cozy Mystery series. She was on a plane to California for a big journalism job when it had to make an emergency landing. After being stuck in the town for a few days, Violet ended up staying as editor of the Holiday Junction paper.
This book opens with a cross-over with the Camper and Criminals Cozy Mystery series as Mae West is visiting Violet. It came out of the blue as Mae and Violet were not on the best of terms. A relationship developed once Violent left Normal and there were phone calls between Violet and Mae about sleuthing and solving crimes. It did not feel natural to me that Mae would have hopped on a plane to visit Violet. However, Mae arrived at the perfect time as the town was getting ready to celebrate New Year’s Eve with the Sparkle Ball. Like other holidays, the town goes all out, including a miniature replica of the village in the community center. Each year, the businesses of Holiday Junction add something new to the mini village; unfortunately, one of the additions was a dead body this time. Chief Strickland taps into Violet’s sleuthing skills, and Mae, Darren, and even Millie Kay join forces to find the murderer.
Determining the killer was not easy-I went back and forth on suspects several times and was still shocked when the murderer was revealed. It is a wonderful book, and I did enjoy Mae visiting Holiday Junction. The characters and the town come alive, and it feels like the reader is part of the celebration. I cannot wait for the next holiday to arrive!

Happy Holidays! It is Christmas time in Normal, KY and as usual, Mae is busy volunteering, helping her friends, hosting dinner, and solving crimes.
When Bett’s ex-husband passes away, he left her with a list of things he wanted to do to repent for his crime. Betts feels that it is her responsibility to carry out Lester’s last wishes and of course, the Laundry Ladies jump right in to help their friend. Lester wanted to have a Christmas party for children and Mae goes all out as the host. As part of the festivities at the campground, Mae takes her guests on a tour of Seymore’s Candy Cane Factory. A dead body is found, sugar seems in short supply, and Lester’s list is put on hold while the Ladies solve the mystery.
This is a terrific book to read right before the holidays. The characters are fully developed and feel like friends. Different story plots are addressed throughout the book, and I look forward to each new installment to catch up on the characters and the relationships between them. There are quite a few surprises with some relationships that have developed!
There are laugh-out-loud moments, but my favorite part of these stories is how the author weaves in such positivity such as a toy drive for children, taking care of pets, and the benefits of being a genuinely nice person.

Thanksgiving is a great time of year to return to Normal, KY, and see how Mae, Hank, the Laundry Club Ladies, and the rest of the town are celebrating. It’s Fall and the leaves are changing and the weather is getting cooler. The surprise at the beginning of the book is that Mae started running to get in shape for her wedding, but has she finally picked a date? Those of us who do not run can really relate!
Mae may be trying something new, but nothing has changed as there the deaths start adding up and they might be related to a mysterious death in the past. As usual, Mae jumps into the middle of the mystery and has to determine how the deaths are connected. Friendships are tested and Mae will need to solve the riddle before anything else happens.
This is the 28th book in the Camper and Criminals Cozy Mystery Series and I am still hooked! Each new book has an incredible and unique mystery and a little more is revealed about Hank and Mae’s relationship! I cannot wait to read about their wedding!

I was thrilled to see another book in the Holiday Cozy Mystery series and Halloween is the perfect time for murder and mayhem! I thought I would miss Violet when left Normal, KY but I like that she is the star of her own series. It is interesting to see her develop from the annoying reporter shoving a microphone in Mae’s face to learning how to be on her own solving mysteries and as a reporter/editor for the local Junction Journal. Violet landed in the right town as Holiday Junction sounds like a fun place to live.
Even though Violet is not a fan of Halloween, she knew the celebrations had to be covered in the paper and I laughed out loud when she conned Hershal into taking her on the Ghost Walk during the day. Of course, it could not be a simple ghost tour because when Violet’s mama, Millie Kay, and Darren decide to tag along, the fun begins!
While the murder mystery is the main story in this book, I am enjoying watching Violet’s relationships develop with not only the people of Holiday Junction but also her mama when they move into the new home and cottage. Both the characters and the scenery are described in detail and the reader can imagine being right in the town with Violet. When reading these books, I feel that I am transported to another place, and it is nice to leave the real world behind for a few hours.
It is fun getting to know the residents of Holiday Junction and I hope there will be a book for every holiday!

Campfires, Courage, and Convicts, the latest installment in the Campers and Criminals Cozy Mystery Series, brings the reader back to Normal, KY with the hope of seeing Mae and Hank finally setting a wedding date. Mae’s adoptive mother is so bent having a southern wedding that she tracks down Mae, with the help of Dottie, while she is investigating a potential new trail in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Nothing is easy in Normal and before Mary Elizabeth can get Mae on board with a wedding date, the body of Anna Elliott is discovered. Hank is already investigating the disappearance of Anna, so Mae and the Laundry Club Ladies jump right in to help solve the case.
This is another book in the series where I had difficulty pinpointing the perpetrator which pulls me into the story even more. In fact, I had to slow myself down because I wanted to just skip ahead to the end and find out who did it, but I am glad that I read every word.
I feel at home when I read the books in this series because the characters are well-developed, and the scenery is described in exquisite detail. I can visualize the entire area of Normal when I am reading from the campground, to the Milkery, and of course the downtown area with Deter’s Feed-N-Seed, Trails Coffee, and the Laundry Club.
The books in this series never disappoint and are stand-alone but I suggest starting at the beginning and developing your own relationship with Mae, Hank, and the rest of the crew in Normal, KY. You will want to keep coming back for more.

Welcome back to Sugar Creek Gap where something is always happening! Bernadette (Bernie) Butler has so much going on this week: her only granddaughter is turning one, her son is coaching the big game, and she is getting married! Before she can fully tackle any of these events, a murder happens in town and Bernie knows she needs to solve it before anything else. What makes it even more critical is that her friend, Vince Caldwell, a former FBI agent, believes that someone tried to kill him months earlier. Most people do not believe him (he was stabbed in the head with a letter opener and spent months in rehab) at least until the same MO was used for the recent murder. The twists and turns will keep you guessing!
I always enjoy returning to Sugar Creek Gap and love Bernie as the main character. She is a bit older and a mail carrier, so it is a nice change from the usual female protagonists! The characters are well-developed and information about their backstories is revealed when needed. I feel at home when visiting with the residents of Sugar Creek Gap and love the tight-knit community. I would fit right in with the Front Porch Ladies!
I voluntarily read an ARC and provided my honest review.

Violet Rhinehammer, an intrepid reporter from Normal, KY is finding a new home in Holiday Junction where she ended up after finding a dead body on a plane on her way to a big-time interview. She is just starting to take over the newspaper and feel comfortable in the town, when her mother, Millie Kay arrives announcing that she is divorcing her husband and planning to stay in town with Violet. Millie Kay immediately joins in the town’s Mother’s Day celebrations. She plays hard and wins the cakewalk but is scammed out of her prize by Sally Westin who is desperate for that cake. Soon after, Sally is dead and Millie Kay is standing next to the body. Violet needs to clear her mother of the murder so she calls on the skills she learned helping Mae West solve crimes back in Normal.
While helping her mother, Violet learns more about her new town, its inhabitants, and her own feelings. She makes some mistakes along the way but solves the crime and starts catching up to her mother who is already “at home” in Violet’s new town.
This is a terrific spin-off from the camper series, and I enjoyed learning more about Violet and actually cheering for her. I cannot wait for the next mystery!

Rangers, RVs, & Revenge is now one of my favorite books of the camper series. It is fun, heart-warming, suspenseful, and laugh-out-loud funny (like spit out your coffee laughing) all rolled into one!
In Normal, KY, there are southern traditions and expectations to follow and if someone happens to ignore these, well, there may be trouble. The winner of the Miss Daniel Boone pageant broke tradition and did not have her hair and nails done at Helen’s Cute-icles salon. Most people would think it was not a big deal but in a small town like Normal, that is quite the affront. Helen is heard making comments about it and when she is found standing over the body of the pageant winner, she is arrested. With Ranger Tucker Pyle taken off the case (Helen is his aunt), Mae West and the Laundry Club Ladies are needed to solve the mystery!
There are so many other engaging parts of the book such as the development of Mae and Hank’s relationship, Dottie in a dunk-tank (with such vivid descriptions that I could picture the scene), and the introduction of Waldo Wynn who is Violet’s replacement as town reporter. This is a page-turner that will keep you guessing while laughing at Dottie and sighing over Hank and Mae.

It's not really a wedding until there is a murder! Kenni Lowry cannot simply attend as a guest because something mysterious will happen. In this case, Kenni spots a body Blowin' Up A Murder is the next book in the Kenni Lowry series and it is a delight. While waiting for the best man to show and give his speech, a bolt of lightning flashes and Kenni spots the body of a waiter out on the porch with an umbrella stuck in his chest. What bride wants a dead body found during her reception especially when the umbrella is a gift that was given to the wedding party? Now Kenni has to deal with a murder and a bridezilla who is about to lose it because her reception was ruined. And if that were not enough for Kenni, she also has to wrangle her Poppa and his dog’s ghosts who help with crime-solving, her mama, who constantly wants to know when Kenni will be walking down the aisle, and also her mama and her friend snooping.
All of this action makes for a wonderful read that is thrilling, funny, and filled with suspense. Follow along with Kenni and she works to solve the murder and fend off her mama’s wedding questions. I couldn’t put it down and cannot wait for the cliffhanger to be resolved in the next installment.

If you have not yet visited Normal, KY, hop in your camper or RV and make your way to Happy Trails Campground. Don’t have a camper? No worries, you are welcome to one of the cabins at the campground. Seriously, read this series as it is so much fun. The vivid descriptions will have you picturing the scenery in your mind.
As we return to Normal for this installment, Hank is the one doing the initial investigating. He recruits Mae and her friends who are also known as the Laundry Club Ladies to work undercover on one of his PI cases. A girl has gone missing, and her parents hired Hank to find her. Since she was last seen at the Forest Bathing Retreat, the group heads there to find out that Hank did keep some of the details to himself. He signed the friends up as therapy trainees working for Hank’s Laundry Club and he is the CEO! Oh, and they may have to hug some trees.
With Hank, Mae, and the Laundry Club ladies on the case, it will be solved, but not until there are a few twists and turns that will have you guessing. The best part though is that it is tied into the spinoff book Four Leaf Felony.
Every book in the camper series has a fresh new mystery. It is fun seeing how the characters develop through each book as they face another mystery. While you do not have to read each book in the series, I encourage you to do so because they are all a great read. I had the honor of reading an ARC but was not required to leave a review.

This is another great installment of the Holiday Cozy Mystery Series. The book is a great read because you can imagine yourself in the middle of a town that takes each celebration to the extreme. After being stranded in Holiday Junction, Violet settles into small-town life and considers Holiday Junction her home. These characters are realistic, and the setting is so vivid that you can close your eyes and imagine riding on Goldie’s trolley or taking a spin in Millie Kay’s golf cart through town. A must read!
