Synopsis
When Beth Prince was thirteen years old she met a boy on Sunshine Beach on New Year’s Eve. They talked all night and when the sun rose they vowed that one day, if they were single, they’d meet back in the same place.
That summer with Ethan Young was the best of her life. Now she’s back in Sunshine, about to turn 28 and the New Year is fast approaching. Beth moves home to stay with her newly divorced mother and take stock of her life. She can’t help wondering if he’ll show.
Gwen has just opened the newest and most talked-about boutique inn and bistro on the island. When a mystery couple comes to stay, tragedy strikes and Gwen will have to learn to deal with it all as a new business owner. But it could open the door to an opportunity and friendship she wasn’t expecting.
Debbie has begun a new phase of her life as a retiree after having been a workaholic her entire adult life. Soon the relaxed pace leaves her wanting and before long she finds herself spying on a neighbour who is definitely up to something. Everyone tells her to leave it alone, but she can’t help noticing the little things no one else sees.
Joanna’s granddaughter has brought a baby into the house and the two of them will have to learn how to cope with this new addition. Will they be able to agree on Eva’s future, or will conflict pull them apart?
Emily and Aaron are finally engaged, but she’s still studying to become a midwife and the stress of the program pushes her to postpone their wedding. Aaron isn’t happy about that, and wonders if they really are on the same page after all.
Return to the quaint hamlet of Sunshine for a heartwarming summer with all your favourite characters.
