Desire coursed through him as he inched forward, aligning their bodies until he could feel her rampant heartbeat against his own.  Unable to stop himself, he slid his hands behind her neck, placed his thumbs against her jaw and tilted her face to his.

“What the hell are you doing?” she rasped, lips shining from where her wet tongue darted to lather them.

Short breaths escaped his lungs.  “I want to kiss you, Sofie.”

“Now?” she almost squeaked.  “We might only have minutes to infiltrate Tatiana’s house, and you want to kiss me now?”

Exhaling a laugh, he nodded.  “Now.  I’ll make it quick, I promise.”  He waggled his eyebrows.

Curious blue-green eyes darted between his.

He gently nudged her nose with his.  “Please, Sof.”  Ever so gently, he ran his lips over hers.  “By the goddess, your lips are so soft.”

“Heden—”

Opening his mouth, he closed over hers, inhaling his own name from her lips.

A high-pitched mewl escaped her throat, causing his body to tighten further as he maneuvered his lips over hers.  Needing to taste, he slipped his tongue inside her warm mouth, feeling her body tremble as he plundered the wet depths.  She tasted like rose and honey, rolled into a flavor so sweet he craved more.  Cupping her neck with his broad hand, he slid the other across her collarbone, over the side of her breast and around her trim waist before gliding it over her jean-clad ass.  Undulating his hips into hers, he clenched the ripe globe, groaning into her mouth.

Her fingernails speared his chest through his black t-shirt, the pleasure-pain driving him wild.  In retaliation for the sexy gesture, he softly sucked her bottom lip through his teeth, alternately flicking it with his tongue.  Her eyes blasted open, staring into his as she panted beneath him.  Gaze locked with hers, he swiped his tongue over her lips and rested his forehead on hers.

“Damn, Sof,” he mumbled against her lips.  “You taste like heaven.”

Her eyes were so deep, Heden was sure he could see her soul.  With two words, she ripped him open.  “Don’t stop.”
