Choices can become tribulation, a powerful curse and in rare cases of mutation, the cure.

It was intoxicating to contemplate the tangerine sunset above a parking lot filled with exotic hybrid cars in stainless steel, glitter green and candy-apple red. 

While the sound, the incredible sound of ten-thousand believers rose in a buzzy hum from the place where it all began, The Hive.

Restless and overheated, Melissa #21 braided her natural white-blond hair to lift the limp strands from her shoulders. 

She was frazzled and cranky from being on her feet for the past eight hours. Helping coliseum visitors find their check-in stations, while collecting scan codes on her handheld.

A flashy sports car she recognized whipped past and hit the brakes. 

The vehicle screeched to a halt in front of the V.I.P. entrance and the window rolled down, “Hey girl. Grab the keys, will ya?’

A formidable man dressed in head-to-toe black jumped out. He gave her a flirtatious wink, but they both knew this was a command.
