In this book, Mae and the Laundry Club Ladies are back for the most important case yet! Finally, Mae is going to figure out who killed her family and why. Mae has come full circle in this book, figuring out a puzzle that has defined her early life. I was so excited to jump into this book and figure out who killed her family and why. On top of that big mystery, there is a murder in Mae’s hometown to figure out. Is this murder related to her family’s death? Is someone trying to kill Mae too? I was pretty sure I had this one figured out, but of course…I was wrong! This story might be setting up some good plot twists in future books too! So much to unpack in this story and a satisfying resolution to one of the biggies in Mae’s past. I can’t wait to see where life takes Mae, Hank, and the Laundry Ladies next after this important story in an amazing series!

Tonya hit it out of the ballpark with Ropes, Riddles & Robberies. We travel with Mae and the Laundry Club Ladies back to her hometown of Perrysburg, KY to find answers to the fire that killed Mae’s family. Tonya has a way to keep what could be a very sad story light, with a touch of humor. The riddles are the clues to solve the case.
Fast, fun southern mystery you will enjoy.

This would have been my favorite book in this series except I would have liked a little more of Hank in the story. I loved that Mae finally was able to go to her hometown and see if she could solve how and why her parents and sisters died. We got all of the Laundry Club ladies in the story along with learning about old friendships. This had some twists and turns and I shed a few tears. I hope there will be more in this series. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
