The New York Times Bestseller that stole readers' hearts...

Cole Masten. Abandoned by his superstar wife, Hollywood’s Perfect Husband is now Hollywood’s Sexiest Bachelor: partying hard and screwing even harder. Watch out Los Angeles, there's a new bad boy in town.

Summer Jenkins. That’s me, a small town girl stuck in Quincy, Georgia. I cook some mean chicken and dumplins, can bluff a grown man out of his savings in poker, and was voted Most Friendly my senior year.

We were from different worlds. Our lives shouldn’t have collided. But then Cole Masten read a book about my small town. And six months later, his jet landed on our dusty airstrip, and he brought Hollywood with him.

From the start, I knew he was trouble. For our town. And for me.

Sometimes, opposites just aren’t meant to attract.

Behind the book

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR Alessandra Torre brings us a book that is different from her normal fare. A contemporary romance set in a small southern town, Hollywood Dirt is fresh, funny and sexy-as-hell. Please join us as Alessandra answers a few questions about this new work.

What made you decide to write a contemporary romance? You are typically known for intense, sexy reads.
I wanted to write a standalone book that would appeal to a broader audience. This book still has sexy moments, but as a whole it is a cleaner read. And I enjoyed writing something lighter, with funny moments. I was at a place in my life where the change was welcome, and I really enjoyed writing this book.
Tell us about the setting you chose for Hollywood Dirt.
The small town of Quincy has always fascinated me. In the 1920s and 30s, a Quincy banker noticed that, despite hard times, locals always treated themselves to a Coke. He took advantage of a reduced stock price ($19/share) and convinced locals to purchase Coca-Cola stock. Those investments, made by hard-working local residents, paid off big. At one point in time, there were over 76 millionaires in Quincy, a huge amount for a town of less than eight thousand people. Those original $19 shares? They are each work over TEN MILLION dollars now. That is a huge concept and I had a lot of fun writing in that setting, with the residents there.
You always write such strong heroines. Can you tell us more about Summer?
I love love love Summer. I grew up in a small Georgia town, and I really let my southern roots speak through Summer. She is a lower-class member of Quincy, the caretaker of a cotton farm, shunned by Quincy society because of something that happened several years ago. She has a really strong personality, she isn't afraid to speak her mind, and that makes for a really interesting combination when she meets Cole Masten, a Hollywood superstar who comes to Quincy to film a movie. There interactions are really fun and really HOT. I can't wait for readers to fall in love with them.
Alessandra Torre lives in Destin, Florida with her husband and stepson. She enjoys interacting with readers on Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads, and Instagram.
