Fast paced and engaging with great character development and a few new faces I hope we see more of!
In their toughest case yet, a mysterious man who no one can identify walks into South Cove’s police station all bloody and dies before Toby can even get his name. Or it simply a classic South Cove murder? Installment 14 is an interesting take on a whodunit. Without knowing the identity of the victim for a good portion of the book I found my mind working overtime and becoming more suspicious of the inhabitants of Jill’s South Cove world than I normally would. And of course I was...nah...read it and find out!
I said I would be back after reading Cold Silence and in no way, shape or form was I disappointed by the newest installment of the Cold Justice Most Wanted series! I was drawn into Seth and Zoe’s world from page one of their action packed adventure. And those moments thrown in between Ryan and Megan left me wanting their story more than anything! Five stars!
A visit with Jill, Greg, Jackie and the rest of the inhabitants on South Cove is like going home for the first time in too long, a warm and cozy place with a little mayhem thrown in! Book 13 in the Tourist Trap series is no different and when Jill stumbles upon a body when she goes to pick up hers and her aunt’s dresses for her engagement party she finds herself embroiled in what might be the most diabolical case yet! Five stars!
I’ve waited over a year for a follow up to Nov. 2021’s Matched for Murder and it was a well worth the wait. In this installment (Reading Matched for Murder isn’t necessary but a shame if you don’t!) Det. Jack Stone, a relatively new homicide detective, is faced with a killer intent on claiming artist Olivia Hickman for himself. As the body count increases, Jack and Olivia’s feelings for each other heat up. With tragic losses in both of their pasts, watching the way they support one another while trying to solve the puzzle on exactly where the real threat is coming from is a real treat. Well done!
I absolutely adore everything about Darby Piper and Tate Porter! When a former flame of Tate’s waltzes into their agency with a case for them they find themselves facing down a killer, a blizzard and the paparazzo that makes their lives miserable. Throw in the newly named detective in town who happens to be Darby’s former flame and a cuddly Saint Bernard and this is a real page turner!

Hopping into a well established series isn’t something I tend to do but when offered an ARC of this book I threw caution to the wind and fell headfirst in love with Gallant Lake and the stories set there! Five stars!
A fun Devils Beach novella featuring the new artisanal ice cream truck owner and a roller coaster developer who are both new to the island. While there was a brief visit to Perkatory I felted just a bit cheated we didn’t get to say hello to our old friend Lana and her sidekick Stanley. Here’s to hoping we see more of Hadley and Zander and Ziggy in the future!
When no one is who they seem to be will two people with a past they can’t ignore find out who they really are? Book 4 in the Defenders of Battle Mountain is yet another solid installment in a great series.
A well thought out and completely enjoyable debut cozy that kept me guessing until the very end1 I can’t wait to see what comes next!
I love dust bunnies and I’m always up for another grand adventure to the futuristic world of Harmony. This go round we have a fire witch matchmaker and a ‘just an engineer’ maybe son from the rumored mob family the Sweetwater’s facing down a bad guy or two. The continuing storyline woven amongst the books makes it a must read series and not a one and done. Can’t wait for the next installment!

In Cree’s words, “There were explosions, high-speed chases, a rogue agent, an abducted child and romance.” Five out of five stars! And PS. I need more Macie ASAP!
