‘But it wasn’t Nebraska.’

We’re seven books into the Tourist Trap series and as always, a visit to South Cove is like going home to an amazing family! Unlike in many series time is passing by and our characters are changing; some are moving away, some have passed, others have married or grown before our eyes. Here’s too many more stories ahead of us!

“Maybe I’m always in the right place at the right time”

Wedding bells are ringing in South Cove again, only this time the groom to be is the temperamental antique shop owner Josh and his lovely farm stand bride, Mandy. Only Mandy goes missing and someone also associated with Josh is murdered. Unsure if the sinister doings are connected Jill finds herself playing sleuth again even when it gets her in hot water with her fiancé. Time and tide wait for no man and our South Cove family are all evolving and starting new chapters in their lives and hopefully we’ll continue to accompany them on their adventures because as always, they’re wonderfully written.

I think the cookies might have been spiked with truth serum.

Jill and our other friends from South Cove have come a long way from A Guide Book For Murder and this throwback novella takes us back to where it all started: Jill’s fateful first visit to the town, her first brush with murder and a certain handsome detective and the amazing Miss Emily. So much fun!

“I love it when you get into girl fights.”

It’s always a good day when you get to visit Coffee, Books and More in South Cove and this one didn’t disappoint. I’ve been a big fan of this series from the beginning and love how the characters have evolved through the fifteen books so far. You can’t go wrong when you pick up any Tourist Trap mystery!

In their toughest case yet, a mysterious man who no one can identify walks into South Cove’s police station all bloody and dies before Toby can even get his name. Or it simply a classic South Cove murder? Installment 14 is an interesting take on a whodunit. Without knowing the identity of the victim for a good portion of the book I found my mind working overtime and becoming more suspicious of the inhabitants of Jill’s South Cove world than I normally would. And of course I was...nah...read it and find out!

A visit with Jill, Greg, Jackie and the rest of the inhabitants on South Cove is like going home for the first time in too long, a warm and cozy place with a little mayhem thrown in! Book 13 in the Tourist Trap series is no different and when Jill stumbles upon a body when she goes to pick up hers and her aunt’s dresses for her engagement party she finds herself embroiled in what might be the most diabolical case yet! Five stars!
