If a quintessential Nichole Severn action packed adventure is what you’re looking for, you came to the right place. Action packed right from the start with a little more violence than a usual Harlequin Intrigue and less romance but a very good start to the New Mexico Guard Dogs miniseries.

Seek thrills. Solve crimes. Justice served. It’s good to be back in Battle Mountain even if the sheriff’s department is under attack by the town’s citizens and mayor after the nightmare that has rained down on the small community over the last four books. Now former EMT current reserve officer Isla is under attack and all she knows for sure is it ties back to her husband’s death in Morocco a year before. Can Adan get a fresh start with his best friend’s widow or is will her hunter find that the third time is the charm? A thrilling ride with so much action you won’t want to put it down!

When no one is who they seem to be will two people with a past they can’t ignore find out who they really are? Book 4 in the Defenders of Battle Mountain is yet another solid installment in a great series.

As much as I loved Weston and Chloe in book one of the Defenders of Battle Mountain series by author Nichole Severn I fell head over heels with Easton and Genevieve. Full of twists and turns as a DA Genevieve is being hunted by a serial killer, Eason battles his own PTSD from his time in Afghanistan. An exciting read that makes this a must for any Intrigue fan.

By the end of chapter seven I needed to catch my breath! Grave Danger is an unputdownable action packed story that sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. So much more than what you’ve come to expect from a Harlequin Intrigue mystery of the month. Weston and Chloe’s story may have wrapped up but I can’t wait for Easton’s installment. Nichole’s storytelling keeps growing by leaps and bounds and she has become one of my must read favorite authors in the last four years.
