“Unless I hear gunfire or see flames.”

In the tiny hole in the wall of Dread Hollow crime is usually nonexistent and deputy sheriff Tara spends more time tracking down escapees from the local retirement home than she does anything else. But something sinister is lurking in the shadows and when her old flame, elementary school teacher Deke comes to her asking for help when one of his student’s parents disappear. Finding the family will unearth skeletons no one suspected were buried deep in their sleepy little town. This was an intriguing ride that kept me on the edge of my seat!
“Things are going to change.”

They say opposites attract and when a meat eating weightlifter faces off with a green salsa dancing social media influencer it’s immediately combustible. And while Brooks comes across as a pretty likeable lead, Izzy is hard to get behind unfortunately. Still, overall it was an entertaining story that guarantees I’ll stick around for book 3.
“Change is hard. But possible.”

Another stellar installment in the Cowboy Lawmen Series that tied up loose ends and solved a series of cold cases and stopped a serial killer targeting former Starlights. A very satisfying finale that left me sad when I realized I had to say goodbye to gang in Laramie.
“What’s this about a lobster, miss?”

Out of the fire into a bigger fire? All Lydia is looking for is a quiet life in Peridot where she can live in peace and sew. Instead she finds two dead bodies and all of her new friends are acting squirrely. A promising start to a new series set in the Blueridge mountains of northern Georgia.
“Mia didn’t negotiate with terrorists.”
Mia finds herself in over her head when a wedding planner job falls into her lap. Someone is determined to stop the union between a shifter and a witch, but can Mia save the day or be a casualty caught in the cross fire? Another magical reading experience!
‘This night will haunt us for a long time...’

Being the proprietor of a bookshop is never easy, especially when you’re a woman in a man’s world. Throw in the mayhem of war and murder, recreational drugs and speakeasies and it’s a compelling read! I hope we get to see what the future has in store for Hannah and her Aunt Violet.
‘I guess we saved each other.’

Not my favorite entry in the Cowboy Lawman series, but that’s on me and not the amazing author. Cultish books just aren’t my thing but it was a well written, action packed story even if I wanted to strangle a couple of people!
‘I believe it went something like,...”

They say opposites attract but they’re worlds apart. He’s a hot shot lawyer and way too busy to love. She’s a patisserie chef running from her past. When their worlds collide in front of a bagel truck (can you get any more New York than that?) a rom com delight is born. A fun read with most of the book coming from the male perspective which made it even more interesting to read though I would have enjoyed an extra chapter or two from our heroines point of view.
An action packed, engrossing second book in the K-9s on Patrol series. Well done!
Another amazing read by Danielle Haas! Just beware...if you weren’t already terrified of ride shares you will be after reading this!

A great first in series introduction to mystery writer Bailey, her daughter Daisy and the Hive, her beekeeper grandmother and her ‘book club’. The cast is likeable, the setting charming and there’s secrets galore still lingering after the shocking conclusion of book one making me want to dive into a sequel!
‘You sound more and more like Cotton every day.’ 84%

I’ve been waiting for Luke to get his own story and it was even more amazing than I could have hoped for! I was hooked in the first chapter, from a flashback to Luke meeting Pappy to Luke rushing to the aid of a former friend with benefits. And just when it can’t get better, that ending! Holy....
