Synopsis
Tradition, Expectations, Family, and Murder.
When Beatrice Villareal heads down to Mexico to celebrate the annual Día de los Muertos, the last thing she expects is to end the night learning her beloved cousin is murdered, throwing her world into chaos and suspicion.
Desperate to find the killer and frustrated with the police's slow progress, Beatrice takes matters into her own hands. She finds an unlikely ally in Fernando Aritza, a local family friend whose interest in the case goes beyond Sabrina's death.
As Beatrice and Fernando hunt the area for clues, they grow close—too close for Beatrice. The attraction is impossible to deny, but the distraction can blind them to the danger they're in as they close in on the murderer.
But will it be too late to avoid their own?
