This book was unbelievably great! I love the different POV’s - they kept me both informed and on edge waiting to see what would happen next! This book takes place a year after Elena’s kidnapping in Five Seconds Too Late, but for the most part, can be read as a standalone.
Luckily, I started this book early in the day so I was able to finish it in one day! It took some alone time but it was definitely worth it! I was confused at some points but everything tied together beautifully!!
If you haven’t discovered Samantha Baca, you should give her a try!

I could not put this book down!
Elena and Trevor are breaking the news of their relationship to her police officer brother who is also Trevor's best friend. Afterwards, things start to get weird. Is Elena suffering a breakdown after escaping her abductor? What's up with Trevor?
This fast paced book has a bit of everything... suspense, romance, intrigue, mystery, spice, and an HEA. Can be enjoyed as a standalone or read as second in Baca's Dark Shadow series.

This roller coaster ride is far from over. Trevor and Elena have such great chemistry and I love their characters. The journey their story takes you on is one full of twists, turns and surprises. This book will have you screaming at your kindle and ready to throw it from the edge of your seat. Such a great read!!!
