Ellie Stone has worked hard her entire life to live a normal life & adapt to a world that doesn’t necessarily welcome her with open arms. Born deaf, she’s overcome so many obstacles and has come out victorious on achieving her dreams. At her new job at the Deaf and Blind School, she finds herself passionate about being able to mentor & advocate for young clients into being able to adapt as she has. So she finds herself on the doorstep of, none other than, Blake Montana.
Blake seriously dives in full force making every effort to ensure that his now daughter, Maisy, has a loving home & a solid way to communicate. Watching them navigate a new relationship that is difficult in the best of times warmed my heart completely towards Blake. And the way that his entire family found themselves going above and beyond to completely wrap this sweet girl in all the warmth & love was absolutely perfect.
Ellie’s relationship with Maisy was magical. Her connection with Maisy on a deeper, kindred level had me in tears (happy ones…but sometimes sad). My heart broke for this little girl who just seemed so lost in a world that seemed unforgiving. And I loved the way that Ellie was able to break through Maisy’s barriers to help her.
I loved the spotlight this book put on the deaf community & how it concentrated on deafness not being a disability. These amazing characters & people are just as able, they just communicate differently. And the comparison of speaking Italian or French verses English really put it into perspective.
I’ve read almost every Samantha Christy book, & I always say “this one may be my favorite”. I really think I mean it for the long haul this time. This trio is going to be hard to top!

Ellie is AMAZING, I know there are better words to describe her as a character, but that is the one that comes to mind first. She is strong and fights for herself in the best ways. I loved her even before I opened this book.

Blake is struggling with his new reality, and Ellie is there to help him navigate it. With a daughter that he didn't know about, he is stepping up and doing what should have been done. He falls in love with her instantly. But he is also falling for her mentor. He loves BIG!
I adored this story and the characters. Even with the struggles the characters face. They are still so strong and don't give up.
This story also shows the resilience of a child when they are a part of a family that loves them just the way they are. I am still reeling from my feelings with this book. I loved it so much, and I am so excited for more of the series. I am already obsessed with this series and what is to come.

Ellie and Blake couldn’t be more different but have a lot in common at the same time.
Ellie helps Blake understand and learn about a world he hadn't been close to since now. Since his daughter whom he never knew existed came into his life.
Blake is very attracted to Ellie, even before he really knew her. But he has a bad reputation.
Only Ellie is not only hesitant about Blake because of his reputation but also because they are different.

Only Ellie is not only hesitant about Blake because of his reputation but also because they are different.
Blake isn’t what Elli expected the more time they spent together. And Ellie has secrets in her life that she has to keep them hidden.
And between everything is a little girl that will make your heart break for her and slowly be stitched together.
I will not tell too much because this is a story that has to be read. Because of the characters, because of the main focus and the pretty wonderful love story.
Blake is a young man determined to do everything he can for his little girl and the woman he likes.
A family oriented, big hearted and supporting one.
Ellie had some bad past experiences and is willing not to fall for Blake. But the heart wants what it wants. And deep inside Ellie needs Blake and his whole ways.
The side characters were a wonderful addition to the story. A story which was created with thoughtful and intense research. And lovely created main characters. Everything perfect.

What a beautiful story about love and acceptance and unconditional love. I just loved the way Blake changes his ways from a playboy to a kind and loving person, the person his family raised him to be!
He has an instant attraction to Ellie (Alexa and Kyle’s daughter – Stone Vows) and pretty much an instant love for his daughter Maisy, even though her existence and arrival into his life is a total shock! When he finds out she is deaf he does everything he can to ensure she is cared for in the right way.

When he finds out she is deaf he does everything he can to ensure she is cared for in the right way.
We get a glimpse of Ellie’s parents and how protective they are of her and the amazing relationship she has with her sister. Samantha even wove in a link to the fortune cookies her parents loved!
Ellie is a strong and independent woman, she is a deaf advocate from the deaf and blind school Blake is introduced to. She is drawn to Maisy and she helps bridge the gap that Blake and Maisy are lacking in the beginning of this story. Blake is desperate for Maisy to accept his love, but he never pushes her and waits patiently for her to trust him and to love him. This is a beautiful love story of a family.
It was an emotion read, the but the epilogue and the extra epilogue just had me crying my eyes out!
As per usual, Samantha wrote a beautiful story with characters you just fall in love with and who you feel you know!
I cannot wait for Dallas’ story next!
I read this as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
