Synopsis

Late Nights & Love Lines

The job was simple. Answer the phone, solve the single dad's dilemma, and move on.

I'm the temporary solution.

The fill-in.

The short-term Single Dad Hotline Helper until a more suitable one can be found.

I don't get attached, I don't stick around, and I certainly don't fall for the single dad.

Until the job said, "Hold my beer," and tipped my world upside down.

Suddenly my past and present are colliding to create a future I didn't ask for. One I'm not even sure I want. One I know I'm not cut out for. A live-in nanny for my childhood crush?

Yeah, no thanks!

But when Sebastian Walker reenters my life with three children full of sadness that I feel in my soul, how can I turn them away?

He takes my superstitions and runaway tendencies in stride while claiming my days. But before I know it, he's demanding my nights too.

When it's his touch that soothes the fears inside me, what's a girl to do?

Avery Maxwell knows how to make characters who are relatable, fun and funny while still breaking your heart and little before mending it back together. Her books only grow in the depth of characters and get better each time.

Another amazing story by Avery Maxwell. Once again, Avery creates characters that you simply fall in love with. So many good feels in this one. I love that she explores new characters in this series while also writing a book that can be read as a stand alone. So many new friends in this book AND a town that I so want to live in. I love how the characters’ personalities reveal themselves throughout the book. I love that the children have their own storylines too. 5 star book. Well written and leaves me wishing for her next book to be out now!

Another amazing story. Who does not want a second chance once in life. They we children friends who were ripped apart. Rowan was literally ripped away by your stepfather. She goes through a tough life. Sebastian is going through a tough predicament and divorce. They both go through betrayal and pain.

She takes a job and they run into each other. She is the runner and he proofs he wants her with him and his kids. She learns to take back her life.

I laughed, I cried and laughed more. Avery knows how to give us all the feels.

Book 2 in the Single Dad Hotline series is just as good as the first. Okay, maybe even better because we see Stella and Beck (and not just teasers either, they are a large part of this book, which I love!) and how they are building their chosen family. The main characters, Rowan and Sebastian, were childhood friends torn apart by circumstances beyond either of their control. They meet again thanks to fate, destiny, or maybe in part by Pappy’s meddling. Whatever the reason, they both come back to Sailport Bay and find a plethora of people willing to embrace the both of them...

Whatever the reason, they both come back to Sailport Bay and find a plethora of people willing to embrace the both of them – and all their hangups. I loved Stella’s description that Sailport Bay was an “orphanage for lost souls” and Rowan and Sebastian definitely find their home and their village of people here. Through much patience Sebastian breeches Rowan’s walls and through much love the couple heals the hearts of Sebatian’s children. I love the HEA and especially the epilogue. I love that the bad guys get their just desserts in the end. And I especially love the way all the people in this town form the family Rowan’s never known and the family that Sebastian and his kids need. This book will bring tears to your eyes, but the antics described will make you laugh out loud. And if that wasn’t enough, the appearances of some certain people from the Westbrook series will just make your day as well! Now to wait patiently for the next installment. There were so many hints as to who the next couple could be that I can’t wait to see if my hunch is correct! Come on Mrs. Maxwell, write faster please 😊

I laughed, I cried, I missed sleep because I couldn’t put it down. My heart ached for Rowan’s pain of her past. I felt it down to my bones the frustration, fear, and finally the beauty of his love, from Sebastian.
