Synopsis

Upon meeting Cavor, a physicist, Bedford, the narrator, becomes deeply intrigued by Cavor’s work on a substance that will make space flight a reality. The two men design and build a spherical “spaceship” and upon its completion, shoot off into space to be the first men to visit the moon. There they find a desolate wasteland – at least until the Lunar day begins… Classics Illustrated tells this wonderful tale in colorful comic strip form, offering an excellent introduction for younger readers.
