Back in college, Katie Campbell and James Reed were close friends, until one incident broke them apart.
James abandoned her and never looked back, forcing Katie to pick up the pieces on her own. Now, years later, Katie is a successful agent at a well-established PR firm. She is no longer the meek and awkward girl she once was back in college. James on the other hand, is a football superstar that has lost his luster. His bad decisions on and off the field has made him less desirable in the eyes of the public. As fate would have it, these two are pulled back into each other’s lives when Katie gets assigned to James’ case.
James is happy to see Katie again, but she has not forgotten what he did to her. Katie wants to put the past to rest, but James has a lot he needs to say about what happened all those years ago. The only problem is, will Katie even believe him?
Can these two put the past behind them and work together? Or are some people just better off apart?
