This was filled with so many grip-your-book moments!
I really enjoyed the eerie tension that permeated this story. It is not filled with twists and turns but rather questions that seem impossible to ever find an answer to. Everyone is a suspect which had me anxiously awaiting the final revelation. I liked that the characters, despite being suspect, were all relatable. Ms. Pekkanen’s writing flowed, giving this book a quick pace yet also creating a dark, gloomy atmosphere at times that had me ensuring my door was locked.

Set on a cliff’s edge during a severe storm, with a cast of characters with questionable motivations, sets this story up. I thought I knew what was more than likely going to happen. Other than one small guess, I was wrong with everything else. From the beginning there was nothing but one unexpected twist after another. The characters took me by surprise just as much as the storyline. When I wasn’t reading this, I was thinking about it and angsty to get back into it. This author is quickly making their way onto my favorites list.
This review is for the ebook:
This was a laugh out loud read from beginning to end. Every character had me loving them whether I wanted to or not. This is a lengthier book and I never wanted it to end. Along with a cast of wacky characters was a mystery that continued to develop and a conclusion I never expected.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a lightheaded read with a storyline that will keep you engaged.

Woah! This was not what I was expecting. I knew going in that this was not in the romance genre and that really excited me. I love when an author steps out of their comfort zone. Especially when they blow my mind the way Ms. Keeland just did with The Unraveling.
This story pulled me in pretty quickly. I immediately was invested in what had happened, where this character was now in her life, and what her motivation was. As the answers were revealed, new questions arose. And I loved every mysterious, twisty turn it took. I recommend staying away from any reviews that give away too much of the story.

I’m not a huge fan of character driven plots. Usually, the characters cannot keep me interested. However, this is the one where I fell fast and hard for a character that is the odd girl out, the socially inept, and is as complicated as they come. Obviously I’ve been reading about the wrong type of characters in my previous books.
Lenny pulled me into her world the first time she turned her teapot three times and from that moment forward, she felt as real as any character ever could. While much of Lenny’s story was mysterious, heartbreaking and her personality at times resembling myself or someone I know, this book was layered with moments that made me smile and even more that had me cheering her on.
I cannot believe this is Ms. Mayne’s debut novel. It is pure genius and I found myself rereading it as soon as I finished it. It still plays in my mind at random times and if ever there were a story that should be used for the “big screen”, it is this one. The one where the world fell in love with Lenny Marks.

Whoa! I was not expecting this wonderfully dark read when I started.
Thorn definitely lived on the dark side. He had all the fierce attributes that I crave in a hero including a bit of stalking and the “mine” mentality. He was a scary dude even to a reader like myself that enjoys mixing in a bit of darkness every now and then. Alana intrigued me as much as Thorn did. She was the complete opposite of him, bright and shiny hiding her intellect and true purpose behind her smile.
While I loved both Alana and Thorn as separate characters, when they were together they were explosive. Their interactions lit my Kindle on fire. They were white hot and went places that i never expected to see them go. I swear I had to turn the a/c down! This is not your vanilla retelling of Beauty and the Beast.
With all that was amazing with the main characters, it would have meant nothing to me without the wonderfully orchestrated storyline that went with them. This feels like a different world. One based on our current addiction with social media. I was definitely intrigued by the connection these characters had with their program servers and my interest continued to grow as the story progressed.
With the addition of suspenseful twists and turns, as well as amazing characters that I hope will receive their own stories, there is no denying that this book has superseded any that I’ve read by this author previously. Bring on the darkness Ms. Zanetti!

Holy heck! This was a crazy wild ride and I couldn’t read it fast enough. This is the first book by this author that I’ve read so I was pleased to find that the main characters were relatable and the storyline consumed my mind even when I wasn’t reading it. I was trying to connect the dots and predict the outcome along the way but when the twist and turns popped up I was gobsmacked. This was a heart pounding read that never slowed down. It is laced with thrills and danger along the way ratcheting up the intensity with each turn of the page. I will definitely be checking out Mr. Finlay’s other books.
Whew! This story shook me!
The more a book affects me, the harder it is to put it into words. And I am struggling to find the right words to describe this book. I found it almost impossible to put down. From the first pages I was captivated. I quickly became invested in the characters despite their flaws, their questionable past actions, and what may or may not be the truth of their current actions. Both of the main characters, Chelsea and Ellie, imprinted themselves in my mind and I still find them tumbling around in there at odd moments.
I was completely riveted by this book as this author led me into a tale that was dark, uncomfortable at times, and so twisted I was left gasping when all was revealed.

I just recently discovered this author and have loved everything I’ve read. However, this beat the rest, hands down. This story kept me guessing. I was scrambling to figure out what exactly had happened in the past and trying to catch the twist before it was revealed. I failed.
I loved the format this was written in with the labeled flashbacks as well as another point of view that was slowly unraveling throughout the story. Thus began the scrambling and the guessing. I have never flipped from back to front to back again and again as often as I did while reading this book. I was desperate to find the answers to my questions.
This was such a great story filled with characters that were flawed but that called to me in a way I’ve not experienced before. As much as I was thrilled to learn all of their secrets, I hated to see their story end.

This book is the very definition of unputdownable! With its steady pace and characters designed to make the reader question everyone's relationship and therefore their potential for being “Anonymous”, I found my mind whirling with each revelation.
The deeper into the story I read, the more I began to suspect each character in turn. Then I suspected my own guesses were a result of my need to find the culprit before the author revealed everything and not based on facts given to me. From one page to the next my suspensions grew then diminished but I never suspected this ending…and it completely blew me away!

Reese and Cash were a great couple. I loved that Cash found everything about Reese attractive. Her attempts to wipe the smile from his face was cute as was the fact she failed each time. Their chemistry sizzled across the pages, especially when they had to go undercover as a married couple.
This is romantic suspense at its finest. At every turn something was happening. I didn’t know which way to look in my quest to solve the crime before the author gave me the answer. Is it wrong that I loved it each time another body was found? I couldn't wait to learn what the heck was happening and why!

I loved this storyline as it took twists and turns that I never expected. With every page I anticipated that moment when Opaline’s and Martha’s stories would intersect, not knowing even if they would. Through the whole journey I was met with mystery, heartache, and intrigue, as well as a reminder of the horrors women have had to endure.
This book went beyond my expectations and left me saddened that it had ended, but so glad I was able to experience it.
