Woah! This was not what I was expecting. I knew going in that this was not in the romance genre and that really excited me. I love when an author steps out of their comfort zone. Especially when they blow my mind the way Ms. Keeland just did with The Unraveling.
This story pulled me in pretty quickly. I immediately was invested in what had happened, where this character was now in her life, and what her motivation was. As the answers were revealed, new questions arose. And I loved every mysterious, twisty turn it took. I recommend staying away from any reviews that give away too much of the story.

4.25stars-THE UNRAVELING by Vi Keeland is a contemporary, adult, psychological thriller focusing on widowed psychiatrist Dr. Meredith McCall.
Told from first person perspective (Meredith), THE UNRAVELING follows Dr. Meredith McCall as she tries to navigate her life going forward. A tragic accident, loss of life, and two years of guilt find our heroine facing her past, a past that is now controlling her present. As Meredith begins to unravel, so too, do the ghosts that continue to haunt her, ghosts that refuse to let go, ghosts that are more real than she could have ever imagined.
The world building is fraught with twists and turns, betrayal and vengeance, power and madness, obsession and control.
We are introduced to widower Gabriel Wright, Meredith’s late husband Connor Fitzgerald, psychiatrist Dr. Alexander, receptionist and friend Sarah, and patient Rebecca Jordon, all who play a role in Meredith’s ongoing struggle.
THE UNRAVELING is a thought-provoking and unconventional story; a cautionary tale ; a raw, real and twisted despair, remorse and vengeance; of determination and dissolution. The premise is intriguing and powerful; the characters are desperate, tragic and questionable.

Riley and Kennedy start off by exchanging barbs via email and sparks fly.
The letter the columnist sends to HIM is HILARIOUS!!
Sebastian York and Andi Ardnt are nothing short of fabulous as usual. They have a natural flow to their voices that is peaceful to listen to. A

I finished The Christmas Pact recently and was told in Penelope’s reader group the hilarious columnist was from this story Stuck Up Suit so I FINALLY gave in and listened to it as it’s been on my to read/listen FOREVER lol
And I just have to say that it is AMAZING! The humor is on point and Siraya doesn’t let Graham get away with ANYTHING lol I would love more from this couple for sure!
And Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell knock the performance of this book out of the park. It’s so natural and just flows beautifully.

This was a beautiful story.
A unique meeting that turns into a fun relationship!
This story flits between now and 7 years ago to fully tell Grant’s story. Normally back and forth in a booK can get confusing since you can’t see it to follow but this was done very well!
Grant’s story with his first wife is a bit sad but it helped him become who he is today.
Ireland’s character is ballsy and fun, I really enjoyed the flow of this character
Andi Ardnt and Sebastian York—wonderful separate and apart as always ❤️

This book was a unique love story! And overall an enjoyable book!
The mental health issues the woman had was portrayed very week and never made me feel as it was being poked fun at.
This book also while in two perspectives focuses mainly on the female perspective.
I very much enjoyed the story! Beware the epilogue had me swooning with sweetness and crying happy tears!
The narrators Andi Ardnt —amazing as always
Jacob Morgan does an English accent for this story. It’s pretty good but I can’t say I love it.
