Audio Review from April 2021

This audio play was super enjoyable, albeit superbly slow. (But that was the purpose)

Their relationship over the phone was so real and believable and adorable 🥰

The narrators Luci Christian and Neil Hellegers really nailed their performances

This was my first book by this author and it will not be my last. He writing flows smoothly and seemingly effortless.

The typical romance misunderstanding for this couple was so real and believable. I felt their feelings for each other the whole way through.

Now on to the Narrators!

Emma Wilder has a lovely voice that I can listen to any day and not be disappointed at all. Smooth, a little grit, soft in all the right places.

Joe Arden is just as divine on a normal day. He is well known for being a Los Angeles, California boy born and bred however he slipped into this southern accent beautifully. It was soft and silky, not overdone. It never felt forced even though it’s not his normal way of speaking.

I am very much looking forward to the rest of the series

I really enjoyed this story on an overall basis. Their relationship was so real and powerful for a college start.

Be prepared for a few sporadic tears on this one too.
Their breakup made sense to a point but the super long separation was so sad. But made for an explosive reunion!

I did the audiobook for this baby. It’s narrated by Rock Engle and Felicity Monroe.

Rock is not a favorite. His speaking voice is fine but at times he gets a tone that just doesn’t jive with me BUT he is a great performer. He really digs into this characters.

Felicity Monroe is great! Soft voice that flows and she is also a great performer!
I definitely have mixed feelings about this book.

The author is new to me, the genre is not so much but haven’t read a straight mystery in a long time.

The story was superbly slow to get to the point. It was eight chapters in before it really started to flow.

I enjoyed it from that point on. I never did clue in who killed the person which I guess is a good thing.

I love the narrator on this but the producers missed quite a few breathe inhales which can be quite distracting.

While I can’t scream that I loved this book, I won’t say I hated it either. I will say I won’t be continuing with this author and series though.
Flirty and Sweet and Sexy and Fun

This book has everything you could want out of a romance minus a bazillion steamy time scenes but not no steamy time scenes.

Marina is an expert at slow burns with an amazingly sweet story wrapped around that.

These two have explosive chemistry and that is no secret. She makes their desire known long before they explode. The only thing that this book left me wondering was what happened to that yummy dinner he made her before she caved to his sexiness lol

Their story is adorable and sweet and fun with some major sex appeal thrown in here and there.

The epilogue where we finally get to see Emitt and Annie’s dreams of a ring on it come true also comes with a great surprise for this couple (that isn’t really a surprise to the reader lol)

Long winded way to say I REALLY ENJOYED THIS STORY lol
Audio Review from May 2021

I really enjoyed this story! It was light hearted at times, it was serious at times. Touched on mental health and serious relationship topics.

And there is a line towards the end where she jabs at herself in relation to Knox and Emery’s book which made me laugh

This beautiful story was narrated by Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright. I love both of them. Separately and together.
What A Great Story

This story hits the couple in their forties who find themselves pregnant when she didn’t think it possible.

The trials and tribulations that this couple go through is handled so well and written so beautifully.

There is no poking fun or misleading about the dangers that could happen while not hitting on them all.

The sexy times between these two were off the charts at times! Woo baby! lol

I plowed through this book!

This author knows how to weave a light hearted story with a serious topic quite well ❤️

Carson and Millie —SWOON!!

They had a rough go for a while but they made it to the other side a little bit more broken and worse for the wear but they made it. And they didn’t have it as hard as Knox and Emory (looking at you Meghan lol)

This one was narrated by SebYo and Savannah Peachwood! They were a great combo!

I loved this story! Beckett went from southern gentleman to southern charmer to dumba$$ to charmer again.

He and Maddie were so cute!! They couldn’t deny their connection that they had always harbored for each other.

That epilogue though! So fun and sweet and HOLY BABIES BATMAN! lol

This was narrated by:
Connor Crais who was able to pull a slow low pull for Beckett’s character and he has gotten so good at the female voices that you don’t feel jarred when he swaps.

Amanda Ronconi who was simply perfect for this character. Her voice is easy on the ears and her male voice is very good as well
I loved this box set! I have reviewed each book individually already so I will just say I highly recommend any and all of these books, this box set and this author :)

These two knuckleheads were meant for each other!

Dottie the high powered business woman and Jason the baseball player who makes dreams come true on the side.

Now J’s personality is a little much for me. He is just a shade over the top for my taste as I am more like Milly. Dottie also is out of my normal wheelhouse but I have a friend just like her lol

Stephen Dexter was perfect as Jason. His tone totally fit.

Maxine Mitchell was just as perfect for Dottie! LOVED their performances!
Wonderful Story

This took me some time to get into but once I REALLY started I didn’t want to stop. Ryan’s struggles with depression were so real and vibrant. You really FELT like you were with him. His experience with his ex was rough.

Nicole was a fun character to live through also. Her feelings of being stuck in her job were so relatable.

I am very much looking forward to diving into the rest of the series
