Synopsis
Amber Davis will do anything for her young son, even something as crazy as beg a dragon for sanctuary from her abusive husband. All she needs to do is step foot on Elysia South soil and no one, not even the US government can touch her. Which is great because her husband is the son of a senator, and he has promised to see her dead and her parents ruined before he allows her to run off with their son.
Dragon shifter Raphek is patrolling near the energy shield at the edge of his kingdom when he witnesses a Terran woman and her child being hunted by several Terran men. He has no idea that saving them will set off perhaps the largest political bomb between his kingdom and the US that may trigger a war unless King Dagon gives over mother and child to the very man that has sworn to kill her.
Love should be the last thing on their minds, but neither one can deny the burning attraction that grows daily between them, not to mention the fierce protective instincts that all Draknos have for children that awakens within Raphek and won't be ignored.
