In an effort to avoid being married off to an evil mercenary by her tyrant father, Michelle agrees to a political marriage with Ivan. The two of them have been growing closer, but the forced marriage puts awkwardness into a budding relationship. United in more ways than one, they now have more to lose (and more to gain) than ever. With Elaine and Andrew backing them up, and with the entire Rendezvous organization ready to go to war, Ivan and Michelle must hope they are a match for the Royalist forces.
