Okay, so the unstoppable tsunami of, to put it politely, sensationally salacious publicity the Consenting Adults brand has reaped – mostly by accident – from its dysfunctional delegation’s blundering adventures at the Berlin Flesh Fest, sorry, the Berliner Erwachsenenunterhaltungs Festival für Kultur und Kunst (the Berlin Adult Entertainment Festival of Arts and Culture), has confirmed it as THE all-conquering global mega brand!
But only at a price: Tom Green is in prison and the US Department of Justice wants to extradite him to America to face charges relating to the hack that paralysed the struggling online giant, United World Geosystems.
Back at River Hall the police in SWAT mode are all over Tom’s daughter, Katie, and his daughter-in-law, Molly, who unbeknown to him was the mastermind behind the fateful hack.
If that’s not bad enough, and it is NOT good, Tom has jumped into bed – literally – with Vicki ‘Madame Whiplash’ Woodford, and decided he wants to divorce Lily, and now the River Hall family is in the middle of a schism at precisely the moment everybody needs to stand together the most.
Bizarrely, as everything is about to fall to pieces Katherine Ripley Enterprises, is sitting on a rapidly accumulating mountain of cash, a licence to print money and Katie, who owns a large slice of it, just wants out.
No, she is only interested in getting her dad out of jail in Berlin. Suddenly, she and Madam Whiplash, as disillusioned with the industry as each other, are hatching anew plan. But what they dream up as a cunning publicity stunt, suddenly becomes a project that draws in all the River Hall kids.
Consenting Adults is about to assume a new identity, a meaning disassociated from the industry that spawned it, and soon Vicki finds herself standing for Parliament in what is supposed to be the Brexit General Election.
Who better to crack the whip in the House of Commons than the nation’s most infamous dominatrix?
However, betwixt that seductive prospect and getting elected is a road strewn with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, and twists and turns a-plenty.
The only thing that you can count on is that nothing will quite work out the way it is supposed to and the universe of Consenting Adults will never be the same again!
Enjoy the first book of the second 'Parliamentary' Trilogy of the River Hall Chronicles. There will be another installment in 2021!
