Okay, now that we’re World-famous, obscenely rich and successful beyond our worst nightmares, what do we do next?
Well, it transpires that taking the show on the road is probably – in hindsight – not actually the best possible thing to do. The wheels had been coming off long before the Consenting Adults circus arrives in Berlin; almost minute by minute things spin out of control.
What was supposed to be a nice, tame, convivial little cottage industry has turned into a monster and now the inevitable is happening. Lily – the glittering force of nature around which the entire River Hall world spins – is losing her lustre, her fame starting to be eclipsed by a new pretender.
Yes, the wheels are definitely coming off…and wouldn’t you know it, there’s a BBC documentary crew on the case, recording what looks ever more like the first days of the decline.
The only question is: can the young folks save the day?
Or do they even want to save their elders from the error of their ways?
