Jack Stonewall is a successful gambler who just happens to earn his winnings by cheating. When he wins a mail order bride in a poker game, he plans on selling her to the highest bidder. However, things don't go as planned, because this woman knows him and could reveal his secrets, landing him behind bars.
Rose Walker wants to rid herself of her tarnished past and decides to start over as a mail order bride out west. When she arrives in the little town of Drywater, she is horrified to find out she's been gambled away and now belongs to a man that she hoped to never see again in her life.
Two people with secrets will do anything to keep the other from talking. But which of them will blackmail the other first? Or will their futures end up including each other?
