Synopsis
On Wednesday, April 21, 1943, the city of Aberdeen experienced its worst air raid of World War Two. In the space of just forty-four minutes, one hundred and twenty-seven bombs fell, damaging or destroying more than twelve thousand homes and killing ninety-eight civilians. Among the dead were the parents of Angus James Mackenzie, Jr., the future Laird of Loch Lonach. This is the story of how he sailed from war-torn Scotland to rejoin his distant kin in the Lone Star State.
