When a raging, Rocky Mountain blizzard traps the guests in a lodge miles from anywhere, the last thing they need is a murder committed in their midst. By default, Alan Gant, a veteran of the Gulf War, and Carla Stevens, an aspiring FBI agent with a degree in criminology, step in to help maintain the crime scene until the authorities arrive. The law arrives on a snowmobile in the form of one snow covered deputy who informs them that the roads are closed and it may be a day, possibly two, before the crime scene team can reach the lodge. The deputy’s marching orders are to maintain the scene and begin interviewing the guests and staff. He solicits the continued assistance of Gant and Stevens, and the adventure begins.
