His muscles were forged building bridges, his dark hair streaked from working in the hot Australian sun and his ridiculous good looks were the luck of the gene pool. But Lise Atwater doesn't know that. It's her job to help Steve Jackson, the Aussie spokesmodel for Crane Surf Boards, to show up on time for the commercials he's been hired to film. Lise figures he'll be another spoiled model, nipped and tucked to perfection. He must have had a lot of help, because no man could be that gorgeous.
Steve Jackson's a laid off steelworker who stumbled into the role of selling Crane products to the American market. For a fat pay check and an all-expenses paid trip to San Francisco, he figures he can pose in front of a few surf boards. When he meets Lise Atwater, his contact with the agency, he thinks she's been overdoing the partying. Little does he realize that she's a worn out workaholic. When he begins to see the true Lise, he decides he's exactly the man to help her relax a little. Or a lot.
