Synopsis
A NEWSROOM RUN BY STUDENTS
Nothing had prepared J.J. Jacobs for college life in downtown Portland. And the student media newsroom? The newsroom was full of smart, funny people — black, brown, and white, male, female and fluid, pierced and tattooed — Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore, J.J. thought, because if Portland had a Kansas it was the suburb he grew up in, and the Eyewitness News newsroom was the Land of Oz in technicolor. He wants them to like him. He wants to be them.
Newsroom PDX is a new-adult suspense series featuring the staff and friends of the college students who put out one of the largest media outlets in Portland during a pandemic and civil rights protests.
