Synopsis
Holidays can be absolute murder.
A woman is found murdered in the sleepy beachside town of Calgon, Florida, in the weeks before Christmas, and suspects abound. Coroner Timothy Eckels is on the case and is determined to get to the bottom of what looks, to everyone else in his orbit, like a simple case of random crime.
His efforts are hindered by the rocky relationship that he's had lately with his assistant, Fiona McCamish. She's had a crush on him for years, and recently has closed him off entirely. Will she help him solve the murder, or is their awkwardly endearing association ending?
Meanwhile, the new Chief of Police, Chas Beckett, tries to ease into his role, and finds himself thrust into a homicide case that ends up being far more complicated than it first seemed. His wife, Missy, is busy planning a secret event with her best friend, Echo, and Chas is too preoccupied to even attempt to figure out what she's up to. A homicide tends to put a damper on even the most festive holiday activities. Can the new Chief solve the crime in time to save Christmas?
