I'm the wife of a Veteran, and V.T. Bonds is a Veteran herself, as well as married to one, and we wanted a story that brought in some of the heartache we've seen. We also wanted to do a twist on a story that's not seen very often, so The Hunchback of Notre Dame fit perfectly.

Poor Quasim went through a lot, and while he went about things the wrong way, it works out in the end.
