Synopsis
Ian DeRose. Code Name: ARIES —aggressive, dominant, first in line to lead.
Zodiac Tactical is his company. They guard, protect, rescue…eliminate the threat when nobody else can.
Ian has always made sure there was nothing in his life he couldn’t live without.
Until Wavy Bollinger.
She's the artist who sees colors everywhere and greets the world—and Ian—with a smile. He knew he shouldn’t come near her from the beginning, but her gentleness was his undoing.
And now a monster has taken her, caged her, to get even with him.
His code name is Aries. And he will burn the world to the ground to get her back.

Until this book, Angel has always been my favorite and also the one I felt so emotionally attached to of all the books by Janie I’ve read, but I think Aries is neck and neck and even possibly surpassing Jordan and Gabe’s story. Both Ian and Wavy have gone through harrowing experiences so to see them both help each other heal made me so happy.
Even though I was so sad to see the previous series, Linear Tactical end, to now have this spin-off series where all those are never fully gone is fantastic. I loved all of the cameo appearances and how they are still a family, biological or not. Code Name: Aries was such a great start and I am anxiously waiting for more.

I loved Wavy and Ian’s story! They had one of the most memorable meet-cutes of all the books I’ve read, and their story continued to be unique and unexpected all the way through! It was definitely a page-turner and I couldn’t ever guess what was going to happen next (which I’m usually pretty good at!). It's got the perfect level of heat, too. One thing - of many - Janie Crouch always gets right is the expert balance of steam and action! Code Name: Aries was emotional, intense, action-packed, and empowering, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series as it comes out!
