‘Ava took a good, long look at her town.’
In this author’s third romantic suspense of the year for Harlequin the town of Ambrosia Fall’s is celebrating their annual apple festival and in the process driving local writer Zach crazy much to the amusement of his best gal pal, Ava...aka the Sparrow. When the festival is besieged by ‘accidents’ and odd things start happening around her bakery Ava is afraid her past has caught up with her. Before she can make a run for it Zach and his preteen daughter are pulled into the intrigue and Ava has to take a stand and protect the people and the town she’s grown to love. This author keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next!

“This is even more fun than I thought it would be.”
This is the story of a small group of con artists with the best of intentions. Think the television show Leverage. When their mentor is kidnapped and the team is forced to reunite things aren’t all they seem and everyone has their own agendas. For Ruby it’s to save Max while not losing the legitimacy she’d finally achieved. And for Shane, not losing Ruby again. I couldn’t put this down any more than I was able to do so with this author’s first romantic suspense book for Harlequin. Rachel has flown to the top of my automatic buy list!

What would Nancy Do?
If Nancy Drew were in her early twenties, a tad bit flighty and more than a little self absorbed she’d be Petra Jackson and that’s okay. I really enjoyed the humor and her antics, however painful they were at times although I might not classify it as a typical romantic suspense. There was next to no romance until you reach the last few pages and the suspense...was more Scooby Doo inspired hijinks yet I loved every page and would to see more of this couple down the road.
