Before I go on to give a review about why I loved The Catch first let me give you a couple of warnings of sorts:

First off do not read this book at work or anywhere where you care if people see you curled up in the corner sobbing. It will happen. So I suggest not reading this one on the plane to that business trip, or in the lobby of your doctor's office, or on the commuter train home from work. You will cry.

Also- don't use napkins instead of tissues. It's all I had at work and now my nose is raw.

Now onto this book. I was looking forward to this book so much that I did a re-read of the first book in the duet (THE PLAYER) and finished it just in time to then go right into THE CATCH. I will tell you that when I read The Player the first time I had some ideas about where the story would go...but there were things in the story that I missed. And they were pretty damn blatant things. But rereading it right before The Catch brought them to the fore front for me. I was glad I did because I think I was still attached to Easton and Scout and their stories. And as always with Bromberg- the story is over- well over by the end of the epilogue but I am left wanting more. MORE MORE MORE. I guess I am just greedy like that.

The characters are real and believable as I find her character's always are. I find myself able to willingly slip into their world without having to suspend belief in anything. All of her books draw me in and keep me intertwined in their world- it's a believable parallel world. And because of that all of her books are in my heart.

I highly suggest this book. Seriously. I greatly anticipate the next book by her because I know again I will be pulled in. And I can't wait.
K. Bromberg is a sneaky sneaky author! Why? Because each book she comes out with has me wondering if that will be the book I don’t like. I was worried Worth The Risk would be that book but I just jumped anyway and am so glad I did.

I encourage you to take a chance on Grayson “make me moan” Malone- you won’t regret it. And when you are done there make sure that you pick up Grady and Grants books Combust and Cuffed! You won’t be sorry!
I greedily read Combust in one day and that is always the sign of a good book to me! It was another great book - the type I have come to expect from this author! It was a ride that has me identifying greatly with Dylan and loving Grady Malone- inside and out! After reading all three books in this series I can definitely say that Grady is my favorite Malone for sure.
Every time I read a book by K. Bromberg I fret that this will be the book I don’t connect with, where that magic is lost, where the disappointment will stab me in the heart or worse- I just won’t care for the characters, for the storyline, for any of it.

Thankfully Cuffed is NOT that book. I purposely like going into her books blind. I try to stay away from teasers and stay out of her reader group on Facebook because I don’t want to spoil one little essence of the book for me- I don’t want to read something I can’t unread. I want to go in mostly blind like I did the day my friend said to me, “hey, you should read this book- I think you’ll like it” and get enveloped by the characters and their world. I don’t know how she does it- but every time I read the next book I think to myself- how can the next one possibly be as good. And yet- it always is.

Grab a copy, sit down, make sure you have some Kleenex ready...and get ready to be Cuffed.
I went in to this book not reading the blurb. Sometimes I judge the book by the plot and then that clouds my enjoyment of the book and I love this author, so I didn’t want to do that.

Then I started this book and my first thought was “Oh, no! I’m not going to like this book.” As a matter of fact I even put it down for a few hours kind of disappointed in the profession of the heroine.

Thankfully, I returned to this book and was quickly drawn into the story, into these characters in all their flawed and realistic glory. I ended up finishing it in the wee hours of the morning...wanting more Ryker and Vaughn. I will always love the Driven Series but there is just something about these two that I absolutely love.

There were times when I was so wrapped up in their story that I just want to reach in and shake them by the shoulders and say “get out of your own head and look at what is right in front of you!!” There were other times I wanted to slap Ryker and say get over yourself. But I love them. If I didn’t I wouldn’t want to intervene in their story.

One more thing: On the surface, Ryker and Vaughn are totally different people, but I think deep down they are kindred spirits. I can’t wait for the sequel to find out if I am right.
***FYI: This is *book 2* in the Wicked Ways Duet. The first book, Resist, should be read first!***

After the cliffhanger ending to book 1, it was a long, long wait for book 2 but it so worth that torturous wait! I devoured this book in a little over 24 hours and I am NOT a fast reader.

I didn’t think there was a way Ryker
could redeem himself and honestly at the end of book one I didn’t think I would want him to.

By 3% in I was crying for these characters. Not a good look on someone sitting at work on her break in a public area. Thankfully no one noticed. It was a late night but I had to read until I was done because Ryker and Vaughn (and Lucy). I just had to know how this was going to end. This book had all the feels for me. All of them.

But it’s not just all the feels that roped me in, because as a fan of Bromberg, l already expect all the feels. This book is more than just all the feels. I dare say is one of her best stories (I feel like I am cheating on Rylee & Colton from Driven by saying this). This kind of surprised me considering when I started book 1 I was thinking I wouldn’t be able to get into the story because of Vaughn’s profession but please do not let that dissuade you from reading it!!

The layers of the plot in Reveal come together in this book. And I dare say Ryker and Vaughn are some of her most realistic characters ever. Needless to say THIS duet is why I am such a fan of Bromberg’s writing. I was pulled in and couldn’t stop reading until I was done even though I didn’t want the book to end.

I give this book all the stars. All of them. It’s hands down the best duet and best book I’ve read all year.
As I started off reading Face The Music, I nearly rejected it. Thank goodness I kept reading. There was only one other book this year that I nearly stopped reading because there was something I didn’t immediately like, then decided to keep going. Neither time have I been disappointed.

I have, over the last six weeks or so read through nearly all of JB Salbury’s back catalogue and she quickly became a favorite author of mine. So I knew (or so I thought) what to expect with this book.

Face The Music pulled me in, and gave me the feels and left me satisfied- there is no question about that. But I wasn’t expecting that it would mess with my head and left me questioning some of my beliefs. It’s not a bad thing- but damn I’m still trying to figure things out.
Then this book happened!

This book is a little different that the usual books by this author- I would know since I’ve read them all. The hero is a little less alpha- the heroine is a little more hardened. But the story definitely doesn’t suffer in the least from these changes.

I dare say I like Tatum a little more for all her hardness. For her need to protect herself in a place she doesn’t feel she fits. For her bristled talk and rough edges.

And I love Jack...so much. That’s all I can say about him. I love Jack. But it was easy to fall for him. As always I am left at the end of the book- sated by the story, yet sad it’s over. Counting down until I can read more by this author.

In one sentence: This book is a game-winning goal for me!

Hunter is a hockey star. But something is off with his game both on and off the ice. And it’s starting to affect not only his game but the respect of his teammates.

Dekker is a sports agent working for her father’s sports management firm along with her three sisters. He tasks her with luring Hunter away from his current agent, Finn Sanderson. But can she recruit him before he self-destructs on the ice?

Without giving this book’s plot away, this book is so worth the read. Dekker is hard on the outside and a normal woman on the inside. She’s so multidimensional and realistic. And don’t get me going on Hunter. He’s such a hot lovable mess. You’ll be pulling for Hunter both on and off the ice (although there will be a couple of moments when you want to reach on in there and shake him by the shoulders and go really man?) as soon as I did. I give it five stars, five pucks, and five tennis balls.
I loved Blair and Holt. Both are use to denying their feelings in the name of control. Each are unprepared when they blindsided by a chance encounter in an airport. And then again when fate puts them together again. But they both fight fate- and when Blair isn’t busy fighting her attraction to Holt, Holt is sure he doesn’t have the time for any sort of relationship with Blair.

I identified with Blair’s reluctance to open up after being so hurt and broken. But Holt’s battling his own history.

Then of course there is the fact that Blair is from Illinois and Holt is from Georgia. Will they figure out how to be together before it’s too late?

This book is the start of another family series by author Adriana Locke and I already can’t wait for the next one!
I adored this book.

Why?
Slade is hot and so sweet.
The book has feels but is light in angst- perfect read for right now. And did I mention hot?

And Blakely? I could be her. No I am her. I’m not a divorcée but other parts of her story- specifically things about her job that could be me. That has been me. It’s a fine line that women are in sometimes in the workplace - especially when it comes to competing with each other.

But the love that grows in this story...it’s inspiring. This truly is a feel good story and I lived it!

And who doesn’t need a friend like Ed?
Another book filled with the feels by K. Bromberg!

I haven’t read a Bromberg book yet that hasn’t gripped me some how. When I heard this book was about soccer I wasn’t too excited. So it says something that she can take a book about a sport I’m all “eh” about and make it a page turner for me.

One where I’m rooting for both the heroine and the hero. One where I’m feeling all the feels while they explore each other and what love is. And family. And loyalty.

Sounds corny to me and I wrote it but it’s not.

This book is the second in a standalone series revolving around the four sister sports agents of Kincaid Sports Management, this book is about Lennox Kincaid. The wanderer. She believes her family doesn’t trust her, her peers hold her low esteem and takes a job for the MLS because her family didn’t want her to. She signed on the dotted line impulsively just to get away for awhile.

When she runs into Rush, Liverpool’s star player and finds out she not only has to live with him, but share a bathroom with him the sparks fly.

However Rush is running too. He’s trying to wait out a scandal in America hoping it blows over without exposing who he really is.

I highly recommend it.
