The Cowgirl Campers are come if to Normal for the yearly 127 yard sale. This group for female campers are into to go find some antiques and unique treasures at yards likes like the items at Etta Hardgrove has for sale. When Etta is found dead Mae and the laundry club ladies need to help find the killer before the possible suspect leaves town.
This is one of my favorite cozy mystery series. I love every visit to Normal, Happy Trails, and the Laundry Club. The characters are quirky, fun, and full of southern charm. The mystery is full of surprises. Just when I’d think of this is whodunit, there would be a twist to make me 2nd guess my choice of killer. The secondary story of Mae and Hank’s engagement is just as entertaining as the mystery.
All thoughts and opinions are my own, and I have not been influenced by anyone.

Jane and Edwin take a short vacation trip to North Carolina. However this trip isn’t the romantic trip to the beach they envisioned when a dead body or two turns up. Return to Storyton is the only way they can help solve the murders and for Jane to know her life can be at peace again.
I love this series. Jane and Edwin are a great couple their friends and families are interesting and have great chemistry with one another. The mystery is a complex web of red-herrings that are expertly woven into the storyline to entertain you and to keep you guess. Eagerly awaiting the next in the series.

It’s the 4th of July in Holiday Junction, during the fireworks a dead body washes up on the beach. Violet’s journalist instincts kick in and she dives into the murder investigation forgetting all about the celebrations around her.
This is a fun cozy mystery series especially if you enjoy holiday celebrations. The characters are interesting and entertaining. This book introduces a few new characters that have added a new dynamic to the current relationships. We have also been introduced to a new area in Holiday Junction, the art district. The mystery is full now twists and turns to keep you guessing who is he murderer.
I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrator is great at bringing the cast to life. She is great at her enunciation and comedic timing.

Wow! With Erick out of town Mitzy has to work with Deputy Paulsen to find her cousin and her bridal party. Mitzy’s learns more about Paulsen’s life outside of the police force and starts to see her skills as police officer. Is this the beginning of a truce with Paulsen? When Erick returns it is time for Mitzy to come clean about her psychic abilities she’s been hiding. Will Erick be able to accept Mitzy for who she is?
I loved this book. Mitzy is still her snarky self, but she does tone it down to work with Paulsen. It was great learning more about Paulsen. Though I don’t see a new friendship between her and Mitzy any time soon. The mystery is fast paced and you really get to see Paulsen’s skills as a cop. The secondary story of Mitzy and Erick’s relationship was entertaining and fun. I am so looking forward to see how they relationship progresses in the next book.
I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrator is wonderful at capturing Mitzy’s personality. She makes the listening experience fun as she helps being the story to life.

When there is a problem with the county club project, Roxy is once again pulled into a murder investigation. The real estate agent who was brokering the deal is found murdered. Is the murder an investigator or the environmentalist?
I love Roxy and the Bean Hive. I love that each book the Bean Hive features a new fur baby that is up for adoption. This is a positive way to support and in courage pet adoptions. All the characters are likable, realistic, and interesting. The mystery is full of twists to keep you guessing. I’m was surprised by who the murderer was.

I loved this book! The bank robbery was an interesting storyline and we get to see Mitzy’s negotiation skills. I like the fact that the bank robbers were dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland. The secondary storyline of Mitzy’s birthday was as entertaining, we get to revisit some big parts of Mitzy’s life in Pin Cherry Harbor. However the ending of the book wasn’t what I expected and I can hardly wait for the next book to find out what happened.
I listened to the audio version of the book. Once again the narrator nail down Mitzy’s personality. You can really feel Mitzy’s emotions as you listen to the story.

This is a fast paced fun beginning to a series. Lola is a strong independent female protagonist. The secondary characters are interesting and give another level of entertainment to the storyline. The mystery is full of twists and turns to keep you guessing. I have book 2 on my TBR.

I always love author Paty Jager’s writing. This book was no exception. The mystery has plenty of twist though a smaller suspect pool. Shandra is a great protagonist. She is intelligent, strong female who will do everything she can to solve a murder when someone she cares about or she feels is innocent is being accused of murder. Her husband is supportive of her opinions. Even though he is a police officer he doesn’t discourage her from being herself even when it comes to murder investigations. I really love their relationship.

This was my first book by author Charlie Donlea and it certainly won’t be my last. The book follows Alex whose family was murdered when she was 17 years old. She was proven innocent in a court of law. However, she was tried and convicted in by the media while the real murderer was never found. Ten years later Alex has changed her name and appearance, but can not escape her nightmare and or her need for answers.
The book moves a moderate pace with easily read short chapters over seven parts of the book. Though most of the book is about Alex; we are introduced to other characters though out the different parts of the book that are connected to Alex in someway. The mystery is complex with plenty of twists and suspense. There is a twist at the end that most won’t see coming. This ending will leave your mind blown and have you completely rethinking what you just read to see how you didn’t see it coming.
Spoiler- There are some hard subjects discussed or referenced in this novel, murder, sexual assault, child trafficking/abuse. These are not discussed in a graphic nature but alluded to or mentioned.

Dotty is missing and the bounty hunter who broke heart is found dead with one of her pink curlers in his hand. Mae needs to find Dottie, prove her innocence, and find the real killer before she or anyone else gets hurt of the murder gets away.
This is a fun trip back to Normal, KY. The mystery was full of twists and turns and moved at a fast pace. I finished the book in one evening. I love the characters, reading the books feel like visiting old friends. However Dotty is one of my favorite characters with her missing and then being a little down, I missed her snarky personality. Although we did get a small amount of it at the end of the book.

Nora Pennington often finds herself in some tough situations, but she has great friends, her bookstore, and a boyfriend. However her past she though she left behind a decade before has caught up with her. After a shock of her life, a body is found and she is the prime suspect. She has to prove her innocence.
This book is probably my favorite so far. We discover so much more about Nora’s past. We also get to know a few new characters. One of the new characters could be a new favorite secondary character and another one is one you will love to hate. All the characters are relatable in some way. The mystery is well plotted with plenty of surprises. I recommend this book to mystery lovers.

This is now one of my favorites in this series. What can be better that Mitzy and Halloween. I love Mitzy, Pyewacket, Ghost-ma, and the rest of the Pin Cherry Harbor crew. The mystery is well plotted with plenty of twists and turns. The secondary story is full of just as many surprises as the mystery. There were a couple moments that stopped my heart (I can’t say what I don’t want to spoil it.)
I listened to the audio version. The narrator is get at bringing Mitzy to life. She has a great voice and captures just the right amount of snark that we know and love from Mitzy.
