Synopsis
Kimberly Hanson just graduated from veterinary school and now that her rigorous coursework is over, she's determined to start a vet clinic in the small town of Hodgenville, KY, grow her own business, and find time for a relationship, though there aren't many men in town she can date.
But Hodgenville hasn't had a country vet for several months and Kimberly soon finds that the demands on her time are so great she can't even find time to unpack, let alone find a boyfriend.
Shortly after moving in, she meets her neighbor, Will Titan, who is smart, handsome, kind, and funny, and he offers to help fix up her house. This offer would be the perfect excuse to get to know him better, except that Kimberly is so busy she can't find a good time for him to help, and Will already has a girlfriend.
Once Kimberly has taken care of all the urgent veterinary needs that piled up in the months before she came, she finally gets some time to relax, unpack, and date. On a whim, she decides to attend a local church dance, where she meets Jeremy Cotrell, and soon all thoughts of Will are pushed from her mind. Jeremy is attractive, funny, and best of all, he really likes her.
As the summer passes, Kimberly and Jeremy date, she and Will repair her old shed, and life couldn't be better. But when an unexpected accident has Will pulling Kimberly into his protective arms, a moment of realization tells her she isn't over him at all. She finds herself torn between her growing feelings for Will, and her feelings for Jeremy.
One fateful night however, her decision becomes very clear. The only problem is, she may have waited too long to make the decision … and the man she loves might not feel the same anymore. Will Kimberly be able to rekindle what was lost? Or will she have to admit that sometimes love just doesn't work out the way it should?
