Synopsis
After meeting her ‘true love' online, Whitney Shaeffer uproots her entire life to move across the country to live happily ever after. All she ends up with is an embarrassing crawl back home with an empty bank account. She takes her dogs and hides out in her father's hunting cabin, off the grid - no internet, no electricity, and no cell service.
While preparing for an impending blizzard, Whitney finds an injured, snow-white squirrel. She scrambles to save its life, and luck is on her side when licensed wildlife rehabber, Sebastian Sinclair, happens to hike by. As the heavy gray clouds thicken, sparks fly as they tend to their little patient.
Snow is falling when they go out for one last load of firewood. The dogs sniff out a young woman semi-conscious in the woods, feverish and delirious. As they nurse her with their limited supplies, they discover she holds a secret, both magical and more dangerous than the approaching winter storm.
