Flick is a comedienne, part of a famed team named ‘The Gallows Girls.' But like all gifted partnerships, creative differences and personality clashes have taken their toll over years of touring. So when a mysterious agent offers her the opportunity of performing alongside her heroes in a series of shows unprecedented in the history of comedy, she is sorely tempted. There are reservations however — such as where the career will lead, and how binding the contract will be.
In discovering the paths taken by the extraordinary women in these stories, the reader is invited to ‘seek her not,' nor indeed to call out to her; simply let her declare herself. For she is the consummation that results from the working of the nine moons, single-willed, consecrated with a heady drink and all arts of love.
