Synopsis
In this 19th century city, public displays of revenge are sanctioned.
No one in the city misses a bloody good revenge. Young Harriet Frick lives with her social climbing mother and the memory of her older sister, Viola. When Viola Frick dies under mysterious circumstances, Mrs. Frick plans a public “settlement ceremony” for the dead girl. The Frick family, once famous for the brutality and theatricality of their righteous “settlements,” wants to return to its days of glory and infamy.
They are planning an exceptionally vicious settlement this year.
