Shout-outs

I began reading the book and was immediately captivated, unable to put the book down. I read the entire book in less than 12 hours. I truly enjoyed how the writer put the words together in a fashion that kept you reading. I was impressed with the references made to history as well as the Bible. I look forward to future writings from K Meador.

This short book introduces 3 characters. Each person has unexpected things going on in their life. There are hints to how the three people will be connected in the very near future. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the novel to see what happens!

Their Journey Begins is a short story introducing the reader to the 3 main characters - Gregory, Marissa and Daniel - whom we follow in the sequel Journey to Freedom. I thoroughly enjoyed discovering more about their past lives. This period of American History is of great fascination to me and K-Trina Meador has retold it beautifully.

This anthology is a prequel to the main story in K. Meador's novel, Journey to Freedom. In it, we meet Greggory, mixed race son of Chief Shining Arrow and Dark Woman, who leaves his family when they are forced to leave their land; Marrissa, who works with her mother in a saloon, but who has to escape from her stepfather once her mother dies; and Daniel, the loner, who has experienced tragedy, misery and then the joy of being loved and cared for.
All very different characters, but very real. Although their backgrounds are very
