Synopsis
A galaxy emblazoned in a centuries old war, breakthroughs in quantum science, and near sentient rodroids, meet up with medieval Japan when shot through a worm hole. All the while, the only human, standing between two machines at the brink of becoming life forms and the collapse of empires, is phasing between two worlds and trying desperately to save both.She could feel him working furiously before snapping the compartment closed. He spun her around to face him and stood assessing her. His gaze was calculating and then, for a moment, she thought she saw the familiar softness return to his eyes mingled with a touch of hopeless pleading. And then it was gone. “Forgive me AOne,” he said tenderly. “I don't know what will happen next. Keep this safe,” he said, patting her chest where a human heart would be. Then, averting his gaze he turned abruptly and hurried from the room.
