Shortly after escaping nearly four decades in the banking world, Porter Baldwin and his wife settle in their dream house within walking distance from Siesta Key’s stunning Crescent Beach. In a matter of weeks, the honeymoon ends and boredom sets in. During an afternoon stupor, Porter stumbles across a horseracing channel on his new satellite television system and gets hooked. His obsession drives him to seek a way to predict the outcome of races. Once he stumbles upon a potential solution, retirement life gives way to Porter’s entanglement with low-level, semi-competent organized crime, seedy gamblers, and the wrath of his wife and two grown daughters.
