One lethal storm. One deadly criminal. One ancient code.
World-renowned expedition leader Hiram Kane is in Japan to speak at a conference when the deadliest storm in recorded history strikes. He launches into the rescue mission as flash floods cause chaos, death and destruction across the devastated region.
Yakuza boss Katashi Goto is retiring from the mob. Before he does, he has one more thing to achieve: blood revenge over a centuries' old enemy.
When their two very different worlds collide, Kane is forced to make an impossible choice. He has always known honour is worth fighting for.
When challenged by Katashi, he has to decide if it is also worth dying for.
The Samurai Code is the rip-roaring second installment of the internationally bestselling Hiram Kane action thriller series, and will appeal to fans of Clive Cussler, Nick Thacker, Ernest Dempsey, and Russell Blake.

Q: So, what makes the Hiram Kane series special?
A: It's a mix of unique factors, really. When I started writing the Kane series I wanted to create books that echoed the kind of books I love to read, so think of action-adventure thrillers a la Clive Cussler & Russell Blake. I set my stories all over the world, which also mirrors my own life as a travel addict and thrill-seeker, and Kane, like me, has a degree in archaeology. Interesting fact; I've visited all the featured locations in the series myself. Unlike Hiram, however, I am not a master of martial arts.
What readers will find are lightning-paced, internationally staged page-turners with real-world events and spectacularly exotic settings. Oh, and a cast of nefarious villains and a genuine action hero.
I like to keep my readers guessing, and there's never a dull moment when Hiram Kane's involved.
Q: Are the books standalone stories?
A:They can be, yes, and can definitely be read independently from each other. But a few of the main characters feature throughout and the story threads all tie nicely together by the last installment. Well, maybe there'll be more ☺
If readers do want to read in the optimal order, I suggest the following sequence:
The Silent Knight
The Golem of Prague
The Tiger Temple
The Samurai Code
The Condor Prophecy
The Shadow of Kailash
The Feathered Serpent
Of Curses and Kings
Q: Why should readers give the Kane books a chance?
A: Because Kane's adventures are page-turning action-fests that pull no punches and would definitely appeal to readers who enjoy tales of real-world issues mixed with despicable bad guys and pulse-pounding action sequences. Oh yeah, the awesome power of Mother Nature plays a significant role in all the books.
I loved writing them ... I'm confident readers will love reading them!
