Synopsis
Heikir fights against overwhelming odds, but can one lone man turn the tide and decide the fate of all?
A poor farmer conscripted into the army, Heikir finds himself one of hundreds of archers defending the fortress of Kascunir from a savage horde.
There's no end in sight to the siege, and morale quickly plummets along with their rations. As starvation and disease throttles the defenders strength and will to survive, what can one homesick and exhausted man do to end the horrors of war and the suffering of so many? Can one man strike at the heart of darkness, and give hope to the few?
THE LAST ARROW was originally released in the Art of War: Anthology for Charity, winner of the "Best Anthology for 2018" award in the Reddit/R/Fantasy 'Stabby' Awards.
This new version has been tweaked to find a more fitting and grimdark ending.
